RedFox
Since their special units all have it and their primarch give fnp to all infantry units, does that make primus medicae and apothecaries completely useless ? Because im pretty sure fnp does not stack. Thanks. Caillum
Doesn't stack, but you get to use the better of the 2. Narthecium grants a 5+, whilst Ferrus Manus grants a 6+. You don't get as much out of Apothecaries, but you still get something. RedFox
And you cant make both fnp rolls? Immortals and Gorgons already have 5+ Seems like the primus medicae in the Fury of the Ancients RoW really ruins it for the Iron Hands...really sad because it would have worked well with Ferrus. shandwen
For that is really is just a tax. Not really much else can be said on it, he is kinda worthless. bozo69pd
Is that how it works with HH? In 40k it stacks until you get a 2+ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320608-how-do-apothecary-work-with-iron-hands-feel-no-pain-rule/#findComment-4341578 Share on other sites
ThatOneMarshal
Is that how it works with HH? In 40k it stacks until you get a 2+ Was confused for a minute. Do you mean 40k iron hands? Is so then yes that true, though I'm quite thankful we don't have that in 30k. Smash father is bad enough, imagine ferrus with that! IronDrake28
Is that how it works with HH? In 40k it stacks until you get a 2+ No, that's just a misconception. Only the 40k Iron Hands supplement has a few items/rules that add to FNP. It still doesn't stack on it's own. bozo69pd
I suppose I should rephrase that, there is alot of ways to accumulate feel no pain rules that "If the model already has feel no pain add +1 to its feel no pain instead". Now that you mention it I wonder how you choose the order that it gets stack... like if a Nurgle Herald casts Endurance on himself while carrying a Locus of Fecundity and having the new CotW Warlord trait that gives or improves your feel no pain. But that is 40k, sorry to derail. Although I have heard of people using Codex Chaos Daemons in HH... Raktra
I see it as a benefit. Sure the FNP roll is lesser, but we get to save points on not buying apothecaries. And as for the Primus in MotA, don't think of it as an upgrade to the centurion, think of it as an upgrade to Ferrus himself. FNP's all he lacks. Otherwise, No, FNP does not stack unless stated otherwise. So yeah, you save some points as an Iron Hand when Ferrus is around which is pretty much it. If the Apothecaries are already in your list, its of no real detriment, really. The Squad gets another possible 2+ Save to Tank, a 1in3 Change to ignore damage instead of 1in6, possibly and Augury Scanner and maybe an extra power sword in the squad.
