username_Tevet
I want cont-hands to my regular dread. On fw-store it looks like its easy to replace. Something like this:http://funkyimg.com/i/29p86.jpghttp://funkyimg.com/i/29p9s.jpg But Im not sure that it is same size. May be who have both can compare? Halandaar
I think the scale is a little different, but I'm not sure. I'd be interested in the answer as well, as I've been mulling over the reverse of this (i.e. adding "normal" dreadnought weapons to Contemptors, especial Ironclad and Siege dreadnought weapons) for a while. Knight of the Raven
I don't know about the close combat arm but Retributis used the Kheres assault cannon on his castra ferrum dreadnought: Don't think I've posted my dready in here yet Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320626-contemptor-arm-regular-dreadnought-shoulder/#findComment-4342088 Share on other sites
username_Tevet
That's it! Thank you, mate! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320626-contemptor-arm-regular-dreadnought-shoulder/#findComment-4342094 Share on other sites
Knight of the Raven
You're welcome. You might want to ask Retributis himself to make sure he didn't need to cut or file the arm socket though. Ovidius Incertus
I just tested it out and the fit in the shoulder socket is just fine between the contemptor and the regular FW dread arms. The scale on some weapons will be off: as you can see, the Kheres is a bit long, but the multimelta and plasma cannon won't be too bad. The contemptor autocannon will be way out of scale, though. It's all more an issue because the regular dread is considerably shorter than a contemptor. FW Ironclad w/chainfist, for reference: http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f32/Oat_Action_Man/Dread%201_zps9lzeljpq.jpg Kheres: http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f32/Oat_Action_Man/Dread%203_zpsydwvaxhu.jpg MM: http://i44.photobucket.com/albums/f32/Oat_Action_Man/Dread%202_zpscarikhyr.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320626-contemptor-arm-regular-dreadnought-shoulder/#findComment-4342687 Share on other sites
Halandaar
Hmm. Obviously in the normal Dreadnoughts a good portion of the weapon is housed within the shoulder which reduces the overall length, and I think you're absolutely correct in saying that the height difference exaggerates the scale difference of the weapons. I think these look a little front-heavy, if that makes any sense.
