Now, As to the list itself, If you're able to and can find the points for the increase, swapping the Terminator Armor to Tartaros would be much more beneficial since you'd still have a 3++ but be able to Run and Sweep and any Ranged Weapons in the squad, be able to fire Overwatch though they'd have a 5++ due to not having a shield.

The Terminator Squad also seems to lack focus, trying to cover as many bases as possible while being unable to actually do those jobs effectively due to low numbers.

For Example:

  • You have 1 Power Fist
  • 3 Chain Fists
  • 3 Storm Shields
  • 1 Assault Cannon
  • Pair of Lightning Claws.

That many Chain Fists serves no real purpose besides points bloat. At most, take 2 per 5 as a redundancy. Your only gun is the Assault Cannon which is only 4 shots. Might as well just give the guy a Storm Shield since his shooting is likely to be inconsequential vs their target of choice due to lack of volume. Finally, the Lightning Claws will only ever be useful against 3+ Saves because otherwise, vs Terminators, they get a 2+ Save. Problem is, the rest of the Squad has Unwieldy S8 Weapons which, alongside their Storm Shields, makes them more of a TEQ Hunting Unit than anything else. For the cost of Dual Claws, take another fist and Shield.

Problem is, in their Current Set up, they'll be footslogging it since they would need a Transponder for them to deepstrike since the Deep Strike from it isnt a conferred benefit. Meaning any HQ or Termy Unit needs to independently buy the upgrade.

And if you want to butcher 3+ Saves, you have Templar for the Job anyways who are, with Shields, 2+/5++ (TEQ) in CC with Power Swords, Furious Charge and, thanks to Sigismund, I5 on the Charge with 4 Attacks Each on said Charge.

However, that does come with an increase in cost.

To mitigate it, you could drop the Centurion since he doesn't really do anything for the list besides being WS/BS5 2W Terminator. Unless you give him a Specialization like Primus Medicae, Forge Lord, Librarian or other, you're better off getting more Terminators into the squad for an equivalent cost. The main Draw for a Centurion is as a Cheap Compulsory HQ that is only there to fill the slot. Problem is, you have Sigismund so he serves no real purpose.

You also still need a 2nd Troops Choice since you're using the standard AoD FoC.

If you want 1 Troop Compulsory and aren't running a RoW, look into the Onslaught FoC which is 1 Troop and 1 Heavy Support as compulsory which are both slots you have filled.

For the Templar, drop Extra Armor from the Land Raider. It doesnt really do anything for them or the survival of the vehicle.

For the Leviathan, a Grav Bombard and Phosphex will deal much more damage than the Storm Cannon and Armored Ceramite isn't an absolute necessity at this points level.

Thanks for the comments !

Some notes - the Centurion has a teleport transponder and joins the termies so they can deep strike.

I was planning to run this as PotL but the Onslaught FOC could work.

I opted for the storm cannon to add some range and keep the list a bit more friendly.

:)

Doesn't work that way.

Both the character as well as the unit need to purchase the transponder individually.

Deep Strike USR is not conferred from one unit to another if they team up.

Well, a couple of things stand out to me.

Firstly, upgrading the Chapter Champion's Solarite Power Gauntlet to be master-crafted is redundant, as it already has it has default on its profile. Secondly, you won't be able to use Pride of the Legion with this list, as it forces you to take Veteran or Terminator squads as both your compulsory Troops, meaning you would need another unit, so you'll want to use the Onslaught FoC.

Slipstreams has some great critiques, though, and taking all of that into account gives you a list something like this:

I really like the bigger T squad and that is where I'm headed actually... Just want to build some other units first. I do think a dozer blade and extra armor are mandatory for the land raider.

So this is a sub core for me and I am thinking it's got some potential.

Thanks everybody for your help.
