Jolemai
Cracked open my Chestnut Ink for the first time in yonks, only to find it's turned to sludge. Best to regenerate it with water, Lahmian Medium or something else? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320796-ink-has-turned-to-sludge/ Share on other sites
Grotsmasha
Medium, water does all sorts of bad to the finished effect of a Wash/Shade. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320796-ink-has-turned-to-sludge/#findComment-4346427 Share on other sites
Razblood
With Ink using a medium will alter the properties of the ink, turning it into more of a wash/glaze depending on the type and quantity of medium used. Your best bet of getting it back to at least close to pure ink is to use distilled water with a drop of dish soap added in so it doesn't mess with the surface tension. I had the same problem with an old pot of brown ink and managed to restore it using this method, or you can use something like future/klear and have a ready made "magic" wash which is what I did with a sludgy pot of purple ink. Either will do the job. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320796-ink-has-turned-to-sludge/#findComment-4347943 Share on other sites
PeteySödes
I had a red ink that did that, turned in to the best gore effect I've ever seen! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320796-ink-has-turned-to-sludge/#findComment-4348219 Share on other sites
