Julgolax
+++Primary Mission Report+++ -Log Entry 7, File 67399224.0316- They're always so stoic, my good brethren. Even in the midst of hellish, death-choked battle my brothers do not cry out in their agony. For three days we had faced down these vile xenos, these wicked souls. Fighting them is like shooting at shadows, swinging our blades through mist and what's worse is their hateful venom. I had lost 4 brothers out in the field and it is my honor and duty to see that their legacy is secured. I've recovered 3 of their sacred geneseed so that their strength and wisdom shall pass on to new brothers but our mighty Veteran Sergeant is still missing. I became acting squad leader and it was my duty to lead the others into the field to find him, however we find him. We moved through the maddeningly twisted paths that lined the floor of an ancient glacier bed toward the homing beacon that had been activated. Our squad was the only one assigned to deal with the Primuls but they numbered far more than expected, still it was our duty. We encountered our enemy sporadically, and always it was like fighting beasts with no form. We managed to find our way through the maze of rocky paths only to find that the beacon was a trap. To our horror, the Sergeant was still alive, strung up like a grotesque angel, his organs splayed out like wings and his face skinned. The Primuls attacked us, seeking to relish in one final orgy of violence. The battle was fierce but my brothers never faltered or cried out in pain, even as they fell one by one to the hateful weapons of the Primuls. I write this with both pride and pain as I watched my brothers, young and old, cut down by our enemy's lasting venoms even as they drove their blades into black Primul hearts. Only I survived to tell the story of my brother's last full measure of devotion and though it saddens me that they fell, I am honored to have administered the Emperor's Peace and secured their legacy so Squad Troyus may be rebuilt, in time. My brothers are always so stoic, I honor their sacrifice, my brothers of the snake.
