Ovidius Incertus
Is it possible to layer one decal on top of another and have it adhere properly (using Micro Set and Mico Sol)? I'm interested in layering a squad number on top of a tactical squad marker (both from the GW sheet). Will it work? Carlson793
Yes, it is. The key is putting down the bottom decal as normal, all the way through gloss clear coating, then applying the top decal over that. winterdyne
Exactly the process used on the imperial fists emblems and hazard stripe overlaps in my tutorial. http://www.winterdyne.co.uk/maz/winterdyne_tutorial3.pdf Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320800-decals-on-top-of-decals/#findComment-4346617 Share on other sites

Destro74
Hey there, I have to agree on the decal application. I applied a thin gloss and let it dry. Applied the first decal and decal setter Let that dry Applied another thin gloss over the top and let that dry Applied the second decal and decal setter Finally I applied a thin coat of gloss over that, let it dry and then the flattening agent on top of that. Worked a treat!! http://www.ozdestro.com/uploads/1/3/0/1/13014732/3120218_orig.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320800-decals-on-top-of-decals/#findComment-4347228 Share on other sites
Atia
Yep it works of course :) As said before, just doing your normal steps as usual, so gloss > micro set and sol products > another gloss > next decal with micro set and sol > matt/satin/gloss varnish :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320800-decals-on-top-of-decals/#findComment-4347278 Share on other sites
