depthcharge12
As the title says, I'd like to create bases for my SoH themed on breaking into the Emperor's palace or an extravagant Administratum building at the height of the heresy. Something with marble floors and broken masonry on the bases as if the Sons of Horus had drop podded straight into the building and were raising Caine. How do I go about creating this dream in my head? I've tried looking everywhere for pre cast resin bases and such, but I've come up short. I've found bases that have rubble, but are in the street as opposed to a huge ass gothic building of massive proportions. I've found some places that sell plastic bricks to use as broken masonry, but I'm lacking civic building bases or marble flooring. Can someone help point me in the right direction or have tips? Teetengee
Marble floors probably wouldn't be the hardest thing to gs. Just roll it flat and then score some lines in it and paint appropriately. That's pretty spot on! I've also been considering making my own now like templars crusade 01: Anyone else think that's viable? Brother-Chaplain Kage
Buy plaster of paris and pour some out into thin sheets than you can break for cracked floors, and then pour some into larger shapes than you can break apart for rubble. Easy and cheap. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320827-emperors-palace-bases-what-do/#findComment-4347275 Share on other sites

Millicant
I'm a big fan of Secret Weapon. Great stuff - Mr. Justin is a great guy. However, I'm actually going to recommend Dragon Forge. Excepting my own Zone Mortalis bases, I use them almost exclusively. For your needs, I recommend the Sanctuary line, since it has the basics to look like a temple area, plus the diorama details (bottom of the page) can be added for flair on special bases. http://dragonforge.com/Painting%20service/for%20sale/base_sets/sci-fi/sanctuary.htm Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/320827-emperors-palace-bases-what-do/#findComment-4348101 Share on other sites
