Ideas for ersatz Thousand Sons

So with the release of the Thousand Sons accessory packs, where do we stand now regarding how to build a (reasonably) effective 1k Sons army? The most obvious go-to is just to go with the LA: Stubborn, but another option might be to take Blackshields - I'd be inclined to the -LD option to represent the remnants after the razing of Prospero being demoralized, and the benefits can be handwaved away by psyker-y. Either way they could have a Knight Errant with the librarius option, though if Blackshields that's their only psyker.

The other option might be WB rules, but that's only to get a couple more psykers in there - the rest doesn't really fit, IMHO - although tainted weapon might make an okay stand-in for something else. Not that they're that good, I think.

Pre-razing, allied Militia might be good to represent Spireguard, at least for now. I would imagine the survivors and either warrior or alchem jackers (just so they do the same thing as their Legionaries) would be the provenances selected for those, although maybe the thing to go is go as cheap as possible for the soldiers and get some tanks in.

What's the consensus on other ideas we might have? I've read most of the HH stuff in print aside from the LE novels, but nothing really stands out as particularly notable that can be represented by the rules as they stand. In anticipation of Book 7, perhaps the thing to do is focus on useful vehicles that will remain useful regardless of what the forthcoming infantry rules they get will be.

I'm currently running mine with the Word Bearers with all my characters with burning lore and dark channelling on all the squads.

Zealot i pass off as corvidae scrying the future, +1Str as pavoni and invulnerable as raptora. The fact they're daemonic and count as destroyed at the end of the game is the main reason why its not perfect but my army is set during the razing of prospero so its not the end of the world.

Word Bearers is your best bet - but if I'm honest I'd just wait the 6 months or so until the book drops before making any major purchases.

By all means get some Tac squads, tanks and such but be prepared to have some stuff made obsolete as the yare supposed to be a very different force.
