jeffersonian000
I went vehicleless ages ago, with exception of the ovcasional Knight Titan (which is really a vehicle in name only given the SHW rules). Captain Coolpants
How is this happening? I'm not sure I understand how DP's are killing you... in close combat? They always have a murdersword or blacknmace. So the d6 extra attacks, at double strength or fleshbane wounding on 2s and hitting on 3s with potential instant death with the sword and the removal from play toughness tests from the mace. At ws9 and initiative 8 with an average of 9 attacks and a maximum of 12. It's seriously not an easy match up for a dreadknight. They both come up at a similar price too, so it shouldn't be a surprise. Dreadknights only win if they happen to survive first round, or attack first somehow. It's a similar scenario with bloodthirsters, big strike squads or 2 or 3 small ones have aaaaalways killed one. I'd much rather lose 6 power armoured guys than a Dreadknight. I still don't understand why you're not shooting DPs with Gat Psilencers if you're playing against them regularly. Plus wounding on 5s and a 2+ jink, plus sometimes not getting the power or deciding you need your dice more for another power or whatever. A couple of Dreadknighs shooting Gat Psilencers at DPs (even with a 2+ Jink) should kill it more often than not. If regularly playing against DPs I'd probably back it up with Prescience to make sure. Kolvin
Honestly Bloodthirsters and Demon Princes aren't much of an issue for GK and even less so for Dreadknights. Why would you bother with a special loadout for them. Psycannons work and they also work on vehicles. When I load a psysilencer the odds are stacked against me. I have to wound with 4 str, I have to have Force activated, and I have to bank that my opponent will fail an unmodified save. If you still think they are great, more power to you friend. Reclusiarch Darius
Cast 'Sanctuary', they go last when charging you. So long as you have 'Force' up they die before they get to swing.
