IronDrake28
On question I have regarding the Khan is... Did he ride a bike into battle like his legion loved to do? I don't recall many descriptions of him actually fighting but if he rode to battle on a bike that's going to be one hell of a machine. And if that's the way Forge World take the model that's going to be amazing. Cheers Vogon He better have a super-fast land raider as his special ride. GreyCrow
He better have a super-fast land raider as his special ride. With a bike seat and a handlebar. ATV Extreme. Sircyn
The Khan doesn't have ADHD. He has an INTP personality type (who coincidentally often get mis-diagnosed with ADHD). All of the traits mentioned by those who've read scars type him in that direction so it's worth a look to get into his character. Introverted thinking, so they won't act until they have processed all the information they can gather and will put off big decisions almost endlessly until they have more and more information with which to make the best choice, which they often do. Detached from emotion unless lost in the moment or around those they trust (which will be a very select few) so others will see them as aloof and distant. Incredibly intelligent and will master any skill they set their sights on (if they can be bothered), value independence above all and become stubborn as a mule if that is threatened. Will have and follow a strict moral code that they will likely have come up with themselves rather than take verbatim from anyone else. They'd rather be right than spare another's feelings, if they were to even notice they'd offended anyone in the first place. Matters of routine logistics bore the living crap out of them so they can come across to others as lazy and disorganised. It's almost as if a conscious decision was made to pick one of the 16 types for each primarch. It's how they are so compelling to us, as they are literally archetypal human personalities writ large. bluntblade
That does seem more like the Khan to me. He doesn't deviate from a course he sets for himself. GhostMalone
Those personality typing are based on literature from limited sources bias and really as mentioned wouldn't fully work for a primarch because A) it's a superhuman warp god creature B) those tests only work if your doing them yourself and can't be applied to another person. I understand where your coming from I do but until the author (Chris Wright) says so it's wrong to assume a personality type. I can see connections to my theory but as ive said my basis for the khan is based from my own jaded opinion and im open to being proven wrong, but those personality profiles for the primarchs I feel aren't accurate to portray such beings. Edit: and the intp overview really doesn't cover his personality that we've seen Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/321051-information-on-jaghatai-khan/page/2/#findComment-4357106 Share on other sites
bluntblade
So basically he's what Wraight says he is- a complex demi-god, who everyone misunderstands. GhostMalone
Well yeah he's Wrights baby, I guess it keeps coherency for the profiling if one writer handles him especially if you look at the handling of Kurze and the lion. It would be great to know specifically how he was designed as a character and what real world influences that were used to base him on as we could gather more information to go on, but as of now we're just waiting for path of heaven Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/321051-information-on-jaghatai-khan/page/2/#findComment-4359638 Share on other sites
b1soul
I think Abaddon is a great example of very different versions of the same character because of diff authours I prefer ADB's version to Angry Marine Abaddon Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/321051-information-on-jaghatai-khan/page/2/#findComment-4360891 Share on other sites
