Three years after the Davin incident.

Dammed be The Emperor....- Lorgar mutered, he had tried, the primordial gods knew he had tried but trying wasn't enough.

And now he was about to face judgement for his actions, Magnus would face the trial too but the hand of his father would be much softer on him.

He and his sons had tried to sway Horus to their cause, and they had failed, then they tried to convince Ferrus and nearly got killed was not for the gods. Then the Khan and finally Corax, the gods themselves had intervened but none of them would fold to their cause.

And now all his prayers feel on empty ears-Dammed be the gods, their vassals and their heir!- he screamed, but even that wasn't enough to draw their attention. For all his might and glory Lorgar was now shadow of his former self, after his final attempt to bring Jagathai before the pantheon, he had fallen from the favor of his former masters.

Even if having a primarch and his full legion would be a phenomenal ally to any army it would not suffice to win the war and they knew it and upon that reality the gods began brawling among themselves. He had lost, for all his preternatural charisma and abilities, he had met failure, consorted with powers beyond comprehension and planned a treachery against the master of mankind and finally was to pay for it.

The full force of the World Eaters, the Night Lords and the Iron Warriors falling on his beloved Word Bearers. The had been slained single handedly and Lorgar taken prisoner by his own brothers, a safe measure ordered by The Emperor himself.

Perturabo, Konrad and Angron stood as jailers to prevent Aurelian from escaping and they would talk among themselves but not to Lorgar, try as he might the Urizen would not reach a single topic to discuss with his former brothers.

What has He offered you?-inquired Lorgar, Perturabo granted him a side glance and rised an eyebrow, as if that had finally pierced through the Iron Lord's utterly rigid expression.

What do you mean?-responded Perturabo, intrigued by this last inquiry.

What has our farther offered to three of you? There must be something you either want or need to have followed His orders to the letter in capturing me...-Lorgar explained.

The Iron Lord tilted his head back and closed his eyes as in a trance, few seconds passed and then he uttered in an almost imperceptible tone- Relief- the cryptic answer came.

The Emperor had granted the three brothers a modicum of redemption for their sins and they had to retrieve the favor in order to gain that which they craved. Relief was what they looked for, each in his own manner, for the Red Angel would be relief from the butcher's nail, for Curze it would be from his visions and for Iron lord himself the end of his bitterness. They had already hunted Magnus, but unlike Lorgar the Witch king had offered no resistance, instead he only asked for his sons to remain unharmed on the promise that the would not raise arms against their brother legions, the event went on without further problems. Only the Urizen remained to be brought to justice and now he lied bare striped from armor and weapons, powerless and restrained, although such things were symbolic as the primarch could have his shackles cast off anytime if he wanted to.

-There is no offer, no power or desire I can't comply with-hissed Lorgar, searching to tempt any of the brothers.-House would you do such things?-laughed Curze.-There are gods...-started Lorgar -Enough!- snapped Angron his faced a mask of hatred. -You speak of things that do not exist! These gods of yours are but warp creatures and nothing more, not deserving our attention lest our adoration, if such divine being would exist probably it would be our father but he has cast such superstition to oblivion. And I bid you to speak no more unless you want your head to part from your body- finished the Red Angel.-What have you become brother?, or farther had turned you from the fiercest gladiator the galaxy had ever known to a lapd...- Lorgar could not finish his statement, the blow came so fast, so hard and so brute that Aurelian's head banged and sank the metal behind him and feel unconscious to the cell's floor.-That took longer than I expected- smirked Curze looking at both brothers- Go,brother-he signaled Angron- Our father wants him alive, I'll make sure he does remember to keep his mouth shut when he awakens-

-Do it-Angron answered- Or we'll have third empty plinth before we reach Terra-.

The Red Angel turned around and left, Perturabo following closely. Curze stared at his brother in the ground -He should have sent Russ-he muttered to himself and the chamber fell silent again.

This is my take on 30k universe, comments and critics will be welcomed and even some corrections will be taken as for specific events and dates to make the story more accurate.
