Spanish_Muffin
Hey folks.Just moving through the lore, and tying it to the character dataslates we have available. I recently learned that, of the Unique HQ selections for the Legio Cybernectica, they've almost universally sided with Horus and the Dark Mechanicum.I was wondering if there was any precedent for the Legio to specifically be the section of the Mechanicum that turn traitor with a higher percentile than the general Taghmata or Ordo, or if it was simply that Inar Satarael and Scoria were just the models they picked to be represented in game. Was there something about the Dark Mechanicum side that drew the leaders of the Cybernetica in to a great degree than other factions, or was it simply a random character allocate for Forgeworlds HQ selection? Thanks. Brofist
I don't remember if it was retconned, but I remember reading in the old lore that yes, a higher percentage of Cybernectica sided with horus. I'm not sure if the character distribution is a reflection of this though. Teetengee
Didn't the head honchos side with horus? I figure that would cause a pretty big band wagon effect, particularly amongst the higher ups more likely to be represented as special characters. Xin Ceithan
The Fabricator General of Mars sided with Horus - which is probably like the Pope siding with one of the feuding medieval Kings. The Mechanikum are a cult after all. The wide spread Support for Horus showed way ahead of the rebellion. Horus alone would probably not been able to shuffle so much tech to his side in advance without their Support. I also seem to recall not everyone liked the idea of the Emperor being messianic to the belief of the Omnissiah. Death to the false Prophet cries are apparently quite common in even technoreligious cults I guess. Also the mad science types were probably easily persuaded with loosening those pesky limitations set by the Emperor. Screw him and his pitiful Empire of Man, I say!
