Blood Angels in 30k, any experiences?

Leviathans are moot because the pod it comes in is a 2hp void shield with 5+ cover when it arrives anyway, plus a 4++ native but everything else is a great point!

Especially the Storm eagles.

Indeed!

And one more point on that Storm Eagle.

If you're going to be running tacticals in there, keep them as despoilers.

You can FoTL with bolt pistols as well so there really is no reason to spend the extra 40 points equipping them with and extra CCW considering how up close and personal they'll be when they hit the ground.

Not to mention the fact that our FW upgrades are rather nice looking, so It would be a shame to hide all those intricate chest pieces with a bolter in the way.

I just want to point out that Destroyer Rad Missile Launchers are Ap3, not Ap2 happy.png

Also, the Dreadpod a Leviathan Drops in gains shrouded and gives it to units being shot through it so it would, actually, stack with the 5+ Cover for arriving from Deepstrike with Day of Revelations. Also has 3HP, doesn't it?

For Extra Cover Shenanigans:

  • Take a Vigilator Consul who always has a Cameleoline (stealth) no matter what you give him.
  • Take a Dread in a Dreadpod.
  • Slap Vigilator to a squad thats arriving via deepstrike. (ie Jump Packs)
  • Drop Dreadpod in front of said vigilator-accompanied squad for 5+ Cover + Stealth + Shrouded on the turn they arrive (so long as they're being shot through the Dreadpod)
  • 2+ Cover in the open when you arrive.
  • Huzzah!

Bonus Points for the Vigilator: He can take a Blade of Perdition, iirc, and has Sniper and a Bolter with Special Issue Ammunition; one of which is a Rapid Fire Small Blast (9" Rapid Fire Range though).

So.... Do BA Leviathan's in Pods have a 3+ Cover 3HP Voidshield the turn they arrive ohmy.png

Oh my.

I think the trick is to just not go for the rad missiles or an obscenely large unit. With BA they form a wondeful support role of a shooty jump pack unit. That can deal massive damage and supplement assaults with rad nades.

Also inferno pistol Moritat.

We don't mention hand flamer ones because then you lose friends.
