Two new special characters (for my fan dex)

Hey, thanks to all the feedback I got I'm putting the finishing touches on the codex. However, before I finish it up I was thinking about adding in two new special characters. (To round out characters for all the Orders militant - if you're familiar with that concept in my codex) and to explore something different.

So, here they are

Emilia Abina (High Medicae of the Valorous heart)

The stubborn and fearsome leader of the Order's Medicae program. She's known to be quiet the joke and storyteller but no one doubts

her dedication to her duties or the Order's cause. Often taking the field directly, against her Cannoness' wishes, she has many times

proven herself to be a stalwart and capable fighter. Her long years of near flawless service have awarded her many unique skills and

fascinating equipment which she uses to help ensure that her fellow sisters never end up in her operating theatre.

HQ: 110 PTS

WS:5 BS:4 S:3 T:3 W:2 I:4: A:2 LD:9 SV:3+ Infantry, Character

Wargear: Power armour, bolt pistol, frag and krak grenades, Narthecium
Special rules: Independent character, Act of Faith, Reinforced Shield, Adamantium will, Stubborn, Orders Militant (Valorous heart)

Warlord Trait: Fide Aut Exmortis

Relics:

Grand Medicae Industrium:

All friendly units with the Act of Faith special rule within 6" of Abina (including Abina and her squad) gain +1 to their Feel no pain rolls.

Note: If nearby units did not already have the 'Feel no pain' rule they gain Feel no pain (6+) instead.

The Starlight Consecratior:

Range: -  S:+2 AP: 4 Rules: Melee, Concussive, Counter-thrust

Counter-thrust: At Initiative step 10 of any fight sub-phase in which Abina is involved, a single enemy model in base contact with her (owning player's choice) takes a single S:5 AP:4 hit with the Concussive special rule.

And the second character

Caroline De Arcourtt (The Augury of the Argent shroud)

Caroline's parent's (mid ranking nobles in the Tempestus system) left her at an abby at a young age. The Sisters took her in but soon

found her to be a gifted, if troubled child. After spending many years with her caretakers she was encouraged to enter the militant

branch of the Adepta Sororitas. It wasn't long after her induction into the Order of the Argent shroud that her special talent was discovered. Possessing an incredible - if inconsistent - gift for precognition, which she said were visions of the God-Emperor himself, she was brought to the attention of the Inquisition. The years of examinations and investigations showed no mutations or taint, Chaos or otherwise, so she was returned

to her order. However, even though the long time spent in the dark holds of the Inquisition left her changed, her physical and mental skills remained valuable. She is often at the forefront of all Order's attacks where her abilities could be used most effectively and she can be kept further away from

the Order's more suspicious members...

Elite: 185 PTS

WS:5 BS:5 S:3 T:3 W:3 I:4: A:3 LD:9 SV:3+ Infantry, Character

Wargear: Power armour, frag and krak grenades
Special rules: Independent character, Act of Faith, Reinforced Shield, Adamantium will, Hit & Run, The Augury, The Sisters of Ante Sanctoma, Orders Militant (Argent shroud)

The Augury: Arcourtt may never be taken as your Warlord. Additionally during the enemy's movement phase, if she and her squad are

not locked in combat or falling back, her squad (but not Arcourtt herself) may Snap shoot all their Pistol weapons at any enemy unit that

moves within 12" of one model in her unit. This ability may be used multiple times per turn and does not affect Overwatch but does not

allow weapons to make Snap shots if they may not normally fire Snap shots.

The Sisters of Ante Sanctoma: Arcourtt does not take up a FOC slot if her army includes at least one unit of Ophanim. She must always

join that squad and may not leave it as long as at least one member of her squad is alive. If that entire squad is removed as a

casualty she may move as an Independent character. (If fielded as part of a formation she must join a squad of Ophanim in that formation.)

Relics:

Truth bringer: The model with this Relic changes their unit type to Jump and automatically passes any Dangerous Terrain test they are

called upon to make. Additionally; Once per game, after making a successful Hit & Run test but before moving any models, place a

small blast marker over Caroline. All models without the Act of faith and/or War hymns special rules at least partially under the marker

take a single strength 5, AP: 4 hit with the Ignores cover special rule.

The edges of Sanity and Truth:

Edge of Sanity:

Range: 10" S:8 AP:1 Rules: Pistol, Melta, Master-crafted

Edge of Truth:

Range: Template S:4 AP:5 Rules: Pistol, Soul Blaze

Alright, those are both the characters, both very different but both with some nifty abilities that help the army. So please, please let me know what you think in an honest but constructive way. Do they work? Do their abilities make sense? Are they broken or overpowered? Are they pointed appropriately?

Thanks in advance!

Thank you.

I think I'll drop the double fire rule from Arcourtt and just give her master crafted melta pistol and a hand flamer That would clear her up a little.

I was also thinking about making her an elite choice ala Lukas the Trickster so she doesn't cost an elite slot if you also choose a unit of Ophanim.
