nefarious squirrel
If i take a legion delegatus, does that mean i cant take a typhon as its a lord of war choice? Or is the lords of war choice refering to a primarch? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/321827-legion-delegatus/ Share on other sites
Slips
A little bit more info on what question you're asking would be helpful because I don't think I fully understand what you mean. nefarious squirrel
Sorry, ive only got the updates & errata off FW online until i can scrape money for the new book. But i digress, It says for legion delegatus restrictions: A legion praetor or lords of war choice may not be taken in a primary detachment with a legion delegatus as its warlord. So im thinking obviously no primarch, but also no super heavy vehicles as well due to the restriction? Bone question. Slips
Hmmm, ok, I see it in the FAQ. Currently AFB to check book 6 but going by the restrictions in Rite of Command and the Original Entry found on Autilon Skorr's datalsate, Lords of War would mean Primarch in this case as far as I'm concerned. nefarious squirrel
Oky doky, thanks. I got the answer i hoped for :) As i personally dont like running praetors, (i think they would only turn up in bigger battles) and i only go up to a max of 3000pts Thanks. Quixus
It is actually the other way around. Unless there is a Primarch in the army (which could be the warlord), the delegatus must be warlord and there may be no praetors or LoWs (of any type) in the army. Dono1979
If the Delegatus is your armies Warlord you cannot have a Praetor or a Lord of War (Super Heavy or Primarch) in your list. nefarious squirrel
Hmmmm, ok. Thanks for that Dono. Back to a standard consul for me then! Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/321827-legion-delegatus/#findComment-4377921 Share on other sites
blackoption
Remember, a Delegatus signifies an officer leading a force on less resources and man power than a Praetor. This is why he has the restriction on no Lords of war. The Delegatus instead gets easier access to veterans. T0MMY
Yep, that's how I understood it too. I think it even says on the entry that the Delegatus represents a captain of a smallish (~1000pts?) warrior band. But he's awesome because of being able to take (at least two) vet squads as troop choices (and vets are scoring, so win win). Ideal for ZM games.
