Memento Of Prospero
Good morning folks! I also posted this in the 40k Iron Hands forum, but I would also like the Age of Darkness forum's input on this subject. I would like to probe this forum's mighty collective intellect on the subject of Medusa during the Heresy. There is a several lack of information on it in the current HH novel series - I need more depth to reforge my Clan's history and actions during the great civil war. Knowing the medusan culture to be greatly influenced by the machine, was there a mechanicum presence on it or was it all under native medusan control? Do we have garrison figures and disposion? Astartes recruitment and production rate? Facts/Artefacts/Characters of note around it's governing body/leadership? Balthamal
Was Medusan culture influenced by the machine? From what I remember reading (god knows when or how long ago) the whole world was an ash blasted wasteland that it's inhabitants only survived in by living aboard vast land crawlers to escape the elements. I can see how that might metamorphose into contempt for the flesh but I'd imagine the fact that Ferrus looked down on that philosophy would prevent it becoming prevalent on the world he ruled, at least until after the Heresy Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322031-what-do-we-know-about-medusa-during-the-heresy/#findComment-4382866 Share on other sites

He was cited as wanting to rid his legion of the obsession of the machine after the great crusade, so it would not hinder it's combat efficiency. So I don't think he actively denounced it publicly at any rate.
