Hello all -

 

Some changes going into effect here in the OTHER GAMES section.

 

If you have been around long enough you may recall that at one time we allowed "play by post" RPGs to happen here. Unfortunately people began to do things like the "all Tyranid" or "all Ork" RPG and that just can't happen here so we had to stop it. There were other reasons as well. 

 

So where does that bring us now?

 

 

Well we are going to bring it back. But  there are some things to keep in mind.

 

1. Please keep the settings and rules to the selection of Fantasy Flight Games/Games Workshop RPGs set in the 40k Universe e.g:

Rogue Trader

Dark Heresy

DeathWatch

Black Crusade

Only War

etc

 

2. The moderators in this forum are here to moderate per the B&C rules. They are not here to arbitrate your PbP game. If you have an issue with how your play by post is being run, you need to take it up with that scenarios GM.

 

3. Following on from that: Everything in this forum is still subject to the B&C rules and the Other Games forums specific rules. So again: Keep it 40k. If a mod strolls through and sees your Pathfinder RPG going on, it will be airlocked without notification.

 

 

As we are starting this up again after a long hiatus things are of course subject to change.

What about discussing Xenos in the context of something like a 30k supplement for deathwatch and needing period appropriate xenos to purge with your legion buddies?

PDF's are also sadly lacking for presence; if there's a business to be had, maybe we can ask for the PDF's to be restored?)

Can I just clarify - are we required to have games set in the FFG settings - so, if playing Dark Heresy, am I forced to set it in Calixis or Askellon, rather than another sector? It seems arbitrarily restrictive for that to be the case, which is one reason why I've held off creating anything in this forum thus far.

No, the actual setting, so long as its still 40k, can be placed wherever you want it to be.

 

You're not limited to the locations in the books.

I have a question and I hope this isn't considered Necro. But since there is a newish RPG based in Warhammer 40k coming out/is Out (I don't have the books yet.) Would that be allowed here as well? It isn't FFG.

If you mean Wrath & Glory (by Cubicle 7), yes it certainly is.
