My Corax model is almost game ready and debating using him in an upcoming game.

Vigilator goes with Furies to scout them for shrouded. Corax joins them if they have good cover up the board. If not he can go solo to force shots wasted on him or on the Dark Furies that have a 2+. Either way both will be resilient. Worse case is that Corax deepstrikes by himself.

A dread can attempt to pod for some more cover or just come down on a good target.

Everything else infiltrates for a 2+ or outflanks. After the last game against Iron Fire I want to avoid losing fistfuls of units a turn.

Have you considered running a Chaplain with the Furies instead? I think a Chaplain with a  Power Fist & Boarding Shield would add even more than the VIgilator to that unit.

Instead of the two Cortus Dreads, have you considered a Leviathan? Other than your fliers you don't really have a lot in the way of anti-armour, and while Cortus Contemptors are definitely good a Leviathan blows them away. You could run a Leviathan with Siege Drill. Melta Lance, Armoured Ceramite & Dreadnought Drop Pod for less than the two Cortuses, and with that loadout he can reliably take on even a Knight one-on-one with a solid chance of winning, The Leviathan also provides one of the few units in the game that actually draws firepower away from your Primarch and prize units (i.e. Furies).

Chaplains are my usual go-to, but the Vigilator has scout to grant the Furies shrouded for the Rite. Giving them a 2+ cover turn one while they spring up the board is key to the strategy. Which reminds me I forgot Vigilators can take camo themselves, not from the RG rules but from their base rules. So I need to free up some points for him so they will get Stealth and Shrouded.

I'll have to drop the Chaff on the Xiphon and give the Vigilator Camo and a meltabomb.

I want a leviathan but I don't have one. I do have three contemtpors with various gear choices. So it's a matter of resources on that one unfortunately. Corax can shred things at S10 and the furies have S5 with master crafted rending on the charge so they're no slouches when it comes to tearing up AV at least. I wouldn't bring this against an Armoured Breakthough though.

I do have three rapier chassis though. Three mortars with shatter shells could replace a dread. They too would get shrouded thanks to infiltrate. Hmn...

Ah yes they do. The option on battlescribe was for the RG rules.

Here's the 2.0. Even the rhino will get shrouded, so it can cruise up and pop smoke for a 3+ in the open.

I'm tempted to cut down the Recons to squeeze in some Mor Deythan in a rhino instead.

Having stealth all game and shrouded on turn one as well will help. The goal is to have the Furies and Corax tearing up the enemies line by turn two. If it's against a melee oriented opponent then I'm not worried. Against, say IF, then Corax will go solo to draw fire will the Furies scout up with shrouded. I wouldn't bring this list against IW though. Ironfire would table the army by turn three.

Besides anything shooting at Recons and Mor Deythan aren't shooting at Corax and friends.
