Rasclomalum
Okay, so this is just the very beginning, detailing the paint scheme and the general organisation of the warband, More to follow. Legio III Phoenicia Cohors Vindicta Unofficial name: The Choir of Contravention Noise Marine Decanus of the Centuria I Triarii. Organization: Since the Cohors Vindicta have not forgotten the perfectionist aspects of Slaaneshi worship and know that the fulfilment of pleasure and personal freedom is often best achieved through iron discipline, the warband is highly organized. While originally a warband composed purely of the Phoenician's true sons, millennia of fighting has left few remaining survivors of the old guard, some of whom now serve the Cohors Vindicta as Helbrutes. While new recruits are still spawned from the original Geneseed, over the course of the Long War, the ranks have been bolstered by traitor Astartes tracing their legacy to each loyalist Primarch. This influx of combat doctrines has ironically lead to the Cohors adopting an organisational philosophy that paints a dark reflection of the Codex Astartes. Numbering slightly over a 1000 Astartes, the Cohors Vindicta is organized into 10 centuriae numbering a 100 Astartes each. Each centuria carry their centuria color on their armour trim. Centuria I Triarii: Primus Pilus (Chaos Lord) Pontifex Maximus (Dark Apostle) Apothecarius (Will never see the table) Aquilifer (more posh than the signifers of the lesser Centuria) Contubernia composed of the Terminator, Noise Marine and Chosen elite, 100 in total. The Pontifex Maximus' skull helmet is golden, sometimes chased in purple Warpsmiths wear red armour with purple trim. The Senior Warpsmith wears a golden helmet. The Auxilia The Imperium of Man can often be a dreary place. Men and women in their billions toil their fingers to the bone on inhospitable Forge Worlds, or succumb to the gang violence on overpopulated Hive Worlds. For the vast majority of the Imperial masses, moments of respite and leisure are rare indeed. It is this fact that has allowed the Cohors-sponsored Pleasure Cult to thrive. After millennia of fighting the Long War the Cohors have amassed significant wealth, some of which is reinvested in cultist activity. The beginnings of a new cult on a new planet are innocent enough. Cult infiltrators are typically sent to a heavily populated place to set up some pleasurable venue or another – perhaps a café, a restaurant, an art gallery, a dance hall or a library. Providing heavily subsidized luxury and culture for those who could otherwise never afford it, the place becomes a popular meeting spot and the seeds of Slaaneshi corruption are planted. The demand for more venues now in place, the cult is expanded to a chain of restaurants offering exquisite cuisine, a province-wide art exhibit holding local painting or sculpture contests etc – all the while taking incremental steps towards outright debauchery and daemon-worship during secret meetings. More often than not, it is at this point an Imperial official will take note of the suspicious activity. The exact response can vary, but it's almost invariably heavy-handed. Prominent personalities within the emerging cult may be publicly executed, art and literarature may be confiscated and burned, imprisonment and forced labour may become the fate of many. For a certainty, all the pleasurable venues the cult used to own will be razed or appropriated by the upper echelons of Imperial society. Many are the mahogany bookshelves, cellars of fine wine and amasec and sensuous statues that have found their way to planetary governors. This is the stage where the cult goes underground, and where loyalty tends to shift within the population at large. The activities of the cult go on as before, but now in secret, and the Imperium is now described as an enemy – being attacked in art, speeches, literature – whilst the bacchanalian nature of the cult intensifies. As local authorities become increasingly repressive in their attempts to root the cult out, so does the influence of the cult grows. While some cults eventually fail, being snuffed out by the Inquisition, the Adeptus Astartes, or particularly dedicated Planetary Defense Forces, some have grown to full-scale insurrections. This is where the Cohors Invicta make planetfall, razing cities, slaughtering Imperial forces, taking the spoils of war and worthy cultists with them. On at least one recorded instance, the corrupted Astartes and their pleasure sect have fought alongside Slaaneshi daemons during one such campaign. Particularly able cultists are taken aboard the fleet, and given basic military training. The strength of the Auxilia has varied through the years, but at its strongest it has been comparable to an Astra Militarum infantry regiment, complete with captured transports and so on. Cultists deemed unfit for military duty are regularly employted as serfs.
