nismogrendel
I am working on a few barrels for my IG tanks, the battle cannon barrel has pretty noticeable seams when the two barrel pieces are glued together. What is a good way to hide that seam? Since these are already glued together I am just scraping along both pieces w the back of an xacto. It is working ok... I have some more barrels to assemble, should I put some liquid green stuff in or putty or something? Is scraping once assembled the best way? gav1892
I normally glue them together then use a scalpel to remove the thick of the line, then use liquid green stuff and a wet finger to fill thespace before sanding it to shape it. Pretty straight forward just requires patience Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322519-seams-on-two-piece-tank-barrels-exhaust-pipes-etc/#findComment-4398518 Share on other sites
Ovidius Incertus
I allow the plastic cement to really melt the joins (apply to both sides) and squeeze them tight with clamps while they set, making sure to keep alignment. You'll get melted plastic oozing out of the joint, but it's essentially gap filling for you. When it hardens, shave/sand it off and you're done.
