FirstSonofHorus
Hey So I'm in the process of painting up some Thousand Sons (see my gallery for the latest example) using an airbrushed metallic red (Steel + 3x Angron red). What would be a nice way to weather these guys? My typical approach is rhinox->Leadbealcher->Runefang spongeing, but I don't think that would look right. Any better, more interesting suggestions? Atia
Yeah, metallic scratches are always good ^.^ Also, metallic red really works well with brown weathering powders imo (f.e. on the feet, representing mud). Ovidius Incertus
Some metallic scratches/chips and light brown/sand weathering powders. I'd find it hard not to put 1k Sons on desert bases. Lucio
I use black undercoat, Leadbelcher spray, wash with Nuln Oil, highlight with Runefang, then wash with the red.
