Pride of the Legion as Allies

Yeah, no reason you can't. But it must abide by the "1,000 points per Master of the Legion" rule. Basically that means the smallest Allied Detachment with a Rite of War will always be at least 1,000 points.

And no, a Delegatus doesn't get around this, as they must be the Warlord, which must be from the Primary Detachment.

Thanks! Though I think your clarification is a little off. It would mean that to take 2 RoW you would need an army of at least 2000 points total. The Allied Detachment can be any number of points in this.

Which is awesome.

Except my plan to Deepstrike DG allies with Perturabo has backfired as they need to be LA:IW...

If you want traitor Deep Striking Terminator allies without paying a troops tax, Abaddon (of all characters) doesn't have Jealous Command, is a MotL, and under Pride you can run Justaerin as your troops. He can only deep strike the unit he's attached to though, a second squad would have to go 5 in a Dreadclaw if you wanted it DSing. If you really wanted, you can get one more 5-man Dreadclaw squad in your allied Elites slot (thank you for DT Dreadclaws, FW).

They would all benefit from Edge of the Spear too, for Abby & his crew and any pods that don't DPA.
