Librarius Conclave = Super Tech-Priests?

Just a random thought I had that could be rather fun for the Ad Mech.

If you have a lot of cool Tech-Priest models lying around, why not take a Librarius conclave all rolling on Technomancy and count them as Tech-Priests?

The Technomancy Discipline

Hidden Content
  • Primaris: Subvert Machine - 18" Malediction. You Select a weapon on an enemy vehicle. You and your opponent roll a die. If he rolls higher, nothing happens. If you draw, he can only fire snap shots. If you roll higher, You take control of said vehicle's weapon for a turn. This will be horrible if your enemy has a Superheavy of some kind (Lord of Skulls, Stompa, Baneblade variants, Knights), and given the current meta, it's common to see an Imperial Knight ally.
  • Blessing of the Machine - WC1. Blessing you give to 1 vehicle in 24". It now ignores Crew Shaken, Crew Stunned, and either gives Power of the Machine Spirit, or +1 BS if the target vehicle that already has PotMS (So basically every vehicle Space Marines have except vanilla Rhino-Chassis vehicles)
  • Machine Curse - WC1. Focused Witchfire. Smacks a vehicle with 3 S1 AP- Haywire hits.
  • Reforge - WC1. Blessing that either restores 1 hull point, or repairs either an immobilized or destroyed weapon result, as well as giving the vehicle IWND.
  • Warpmetal Armour - WC1. Blessing that grants plus 1 AV to all sides for a turn. Or, if put at a non-vehicle unit, gives +1T. Welcome to AV15 Spartan Assault Tanks/Leman Russes/Land Raiders. And Gauss Weaponry still doesn't give a censored.gif.
  • Fury of Mars - WC1. A S1 Haywire Beam.
  • Machine Flense - WC2. Focused Witchfire, 18". Target loses D3 HP. For each HP lost, inflicts D6 S4AP6 rending hits to a nearby enemy unit.

Seems like it would be very fluffy! Give them all jump packs and a power axe/ plasma pistol for a bit of fun and tech-feel. Jump around after your Knights/ Onagers/ Dragoons and keep them running or end the enemy AV with mass Rites of Destruction (haywire)

Sure the Kataphron Breachers get 36" Haywire but this looks pretty fun too biggrin.png

There would even be grounds to use Fulmination and make a super Electro Priest Magos or maybe some kind of Ordo Reductor world shaper using the Geokinesis?

A nice way to proxy some fluffy and powerful Tech-Priests and add Psychic support to an otherwise Psychic-less army smile.png

I've been thinking about Technomancy for my Marines, but this is also a pretty nice idea. Maybe a bit of a stretch if you factor in the rules system you're using, but if you pretend they're machine spirit points... :P

I just think it's a cool way to add some more actual Preist-y guys to the lists. Otherwise it's only really the Datasmith and Dominus who fit the bill.

Plus with Geokinesis you could manage to get Earth Blood. Restore D3 wounds to a Kastellan and give the unit IWND devil.gif

A guy at the club brought the Librarius Conclave with his War Convocation (mix of Telepathy, Technomancy and Geokinesis under Tigrius) vs White Scars. So magic flying carpeted the Knight across the table, gave ignore cover and los to his Grav Kataphrons and subverted the White Scars' Storm Talon. Ended the game in turn 2.

Technomancy alone seems to gives Ad Mech lots of potential and our priests look so much cooler than the SM Libs lol

iam personally doing dark-mechanicus jsut using the rules of the imperium, and ive actually thought of this as well, it seems extremely flavorful like that, using dark forbidden arcane powers in conjunction with technology

the super-electropriest idea is amazing by the way, i'll HAVE to steal that one
