Meduson: The Ultimate Edition

I just got my copy today, I was wavering on getting since it seemed like two of the best stories (aside from meduson) were audio CDs. I looked through the book and it looks like the production scripts are in the book so essentially the written version is in there. I may have missed that description on the website but I know others were concerned about that aspect as well.

Can't wait to read it. I read a friend's copy while back and thought it was great

Picked up my copy from WHW a week ago - considering I have the original one from when WHW was re-opened I only really got it for the new short story (I don't do audio CDs). Having read through the production scripts of the two stories in there, I can't help but feel disappointed for those who never read them in their true form, and I can't think why they would include a production script of an audio CD they've already included when they could just use the original story from the previous book iteration. Really confusing.

As for the new story, £35 for 20 pages and it's sort of okay. It's setting something up for future plots but it's not really necessary if you don't read it.

Yeah, its production scripts, but not the original prose version. I believe that the page on BL had a * marking about Grey Talon and The Either to indicate that.

There were some slight changes between prose and audio script, though. Not many, not significant ones, but they exist.

Oh yeah forgot there is a new story! How is it?

It's ok, there's not a lot you can do in 20 pages really but Chris is a great writer and it if enjoyable. As I said before, it's really there to setup a future storyline. I won't go into any detail, but put a quick synopsis in spoiler tags below (there won't be any spoilers, but I want to avoid offending anyone who wants to read it without any info)

Jebez Aug, former Iron Father of the Sorrgol Clan and Hand Elect to the new Warleader Shadrak Meduson, travels to the Mechanicum world of Lliax to be restored to his former glory. A chance encounter on Lliax makes Aug begin to doubt the role of Hand Elect in the new hierarchy, especially with Meduson hearing council from senior figures within the Raven Guard and Salamander legions.
