ChazSexington
How do people make their Terminator Primus Medicae? Do the Deathwing/GK Apothecary bits work with Cataphractii armour? I'm playing around with making one for some Lernaean Terminators and trying to figure out how people do it. Knight of the Raven
The cataphractii chainfists look pretty close to a narthecium saw, so I'd start from there. v6v77
Then see if you can grab some AM (sorry, guard) missle teams. The missle packs make great meedles and cylinders. The important quesion brother Alpah legionaire is why you arent using deathshroud.... Also throw on a void shield harness if you can afford it and your meta is cool with it. Really :cusss with people. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322912-cataphractii-primus-medicae/#findComment-4410368 Share on other sites
Carlson793
Deathwing bits worked fine for me. Mind you, my greenstuff skill at the time was...well, wasn't, but it still turned out okay. Firedrake base, but still Cataphractii. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322912-cataphractii-primus-medicae/#findComment-4410411 Share on other sites
DuskRaider
I made mine using Deathshroud arms. I added a piece of very thin plastic plasticard rod to the nozzle of the Hand Chem Flamer to look like a syringe, then I added the Chain Fist attachment from the Grave Warden kit. Easy Narthecium. Quixus
When I finally take the plunge into 30K, I think a chain fist and some of these bits should work. Aye, I was thinking what do people do for the needle pistol. I'm a huge fan of WYSIWYG! Raktra
I'm just gonna use my spare GK bits. I'll just slap a holstered pistol thingy onto his thigh for the needle, because 'eyyyy, I'm lazy but practical. Ishagu
Not a Cataphractii, but shouldn't be any harder to convert using GK bits. Here's one I did: https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xat1/v/t1.0-9/12928367_1266841620011072_3232494252578984656_n.jpg?oh=e62674d991d5eca6c628888a040c4f7e&oe=577C3423 Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322912-cataphractii-primus-medicae/#findComment-4410767 Share on other sites

Emperor's Furor
I'm making my Iron Warriors one out of the Iron Hands Cataphracti Iron Father, cut the Grey Knight narthecium arm off at the elbow and putting it on the remain arm, then adding the additional grey knight apothecary bits like the vials and the little lamp on top. Ganders
@ Chaz, The tassels are part of the base model from the B@C box. Any tassels that I had to cut I remade with green stuff. God-Potato of Mankind
I....I painted the shoulder pads white. I am not a creative person. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322912-cataphractii-primus-medicae/#findComment-4411050 Share on other sites
IronDrake28
I....I painted the shoulder pads white. I am not a creative person. So he takes progenoid glands out with his bare hands, like a man! I saw someone drill a hole in part of a chain fist, then snap the end of the drill off and glue it into the hole. Works quite nicely. You could use the promethium tanks off of a flamer too to show where the...juicy bits are stored. ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322912-cataphractii-primus-medicae/#findComment-4411402 Share on other sites
Emperor's Furor
Does anyone know if a normal marine head with fit into the cataphractii praetor model or does the gorget need to be cut? I want my apothecary to have a helmet. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322912-cataphractii-primus-medicae/#findComment-4411679 Share on other sites
Fenbain
You could cut the gorget but personally I would shave the helmet to shape so it looks like it was intended to fit in the armour :-) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322912-cataphractii-primus-medicae/#findComment-4411688 Share on other sites
Emperor's Furor
Don't really want to shave a resin helmet. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322912-cataphractii-primus-medicae/#findComment-4411695 Share on other sites
Ion
If the Praetor's model is anything like normal Cataphractii armour then there is no way you will get a full helm into the gap. Personally my Primus Medicae's armour is Tartaros but I'll just play it as 'counts as cataphractii', and the Tartaros was much more willing to accept a helmet without adjustments Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322912-cataphractii-primus-medicae/#findComment-4411756 Share on other sites

DuskRaider
A normal sized head WILL fit into the Praetor torso. It will also fit into Tartaros torsos, which are fully compatible with Cataphractii arms and legs. You could make the armour look specially artificed. Emperor's Furor
Yup. Heads and helms. Great, the praetor as he is atm looks a little to fancy for an Iron Warrior, hope I can cut out the current head without many problems, wish I hadn't put it together before I decided to change it. Was the head by itself in the plastic model or part of the whole frame?
