Helmetless White Scar heads?

Recommended Posts

Both Korsarro and Jaghatai have shaven topknots and Fu Manchu mustache. I know one popular third party site has Fu Manchu heads, but I forget which one. Might have been Kromlech or Anvil, doubt it was Puppets War. If you need cheap topknots one good source is the Ork Nob topknot only bits on eBay.

Thanks for the tip on using Ork top knots.

Still haven't been able to find any heads with FMCs on those sites. I'm thinking maybe I'll just green stuff onto Anvil or Vicky bald heads. But if anyone knows of where to find the former, I'd appreciate it.

Also, any ideas on like Guan Daos? I was thinking maybe AOS Dark Elf Executioner weapons with some mods?

Hope it's ok to talk about Xenos / Fantasy bits strictly in terms of using them as conversion for Space Marines.

Really want to so a small squad of 30K WS that look like Hibou Khan on the cover of Grey Talon. Thanks!

Puppetswar do "cossack" heads with droopy moustaches (maybe not quite FMC but close enough) and a sort of plait or lock of hair. They are perhaps more broadly central asian style than specifically mongol but they're about right.

The Executioner blades are weird. They're somewhere between a guan dao and an egyptian khopesh but they might be too too big if they're mounted on a long haft.

The GK plastic force halberds could do. They're straighter and narrower than a guan dao should be but they are visibly power glaives. The other thing in their favour is that they (or the force falchions, just for the blades) can probably be acquired cheaper than other options.

Fantasy Empire heads (the Greatswords kit in particular) has some nice droop-moustached heads, and they'd work perfectly if you added topknots to them and painted them suitably.

Alternatively, you can try shaving some of the Space Wolves heads - these are easily available and shaving the beards off is pretty easy (just beware the heads with obvious fangs - these are awkward to trim, although it's doable with care and a new knife blade).

Beyond that, try Kromlech, Puppetswar, Chapterhouse, Anvil Industries, Micro Art Studios, Mad Robot, MaxMini, and the other third party bitz-makers! ;)

Oh that's totally new to me, I'll go check them out thanks.

Just be warned they they are designed to fit the current plastic Scout models, and so look a bit... erm, Scouty. Consequently, they are cheap enough though - £1 or similar for five heads on many bits sites.
