pathatrick
I built a few 1'x1' tiles to use for zone mortalis games and want to reproduce them for a bigger board. Can anyone recommend a good silicon rtv for the molds and a good resin for such a big cast. Carlson793
I think Smooth-On might be your best bet. They have a wide range of RTV rubbers for molds, as well as resins. Subtle Discord
You'll likely want something like Smooth-On Mold Star 30 or 40; a 50-50 mix product that makes very nice long life moulds - 30 is a bit thinner to pour (less bubbles) but makes slightly softer moulds then the 40. Or, you can also use Mold Max 30 or 40; this product is a 10-to-1 mix so you'll need a simple scale to use it properly - the Max series will produce a slightly tougher longer life mould and the same holds for the 30 compared to the 40. Smooth Cast 300 series will do well cast them but you'll likely need Smooth Cast 305 to give you some extra time to mix and pour the plastic. 300 gives you just 3min to mix and 10min to cure. 305 will give 7min mix time and ~30min to cure.
