Chesco
Has nayone had any luck with magnetizing these combi weapons? I would like to attach the gun to a Sgt. and be able to swap combi-bits as needed. So far i have had no lluck getting smallthin enough magnets. I have searched the site and Google, but have had no luck so far. Thanks for any suggestions. Major_Gilbear
The only part that's different between all three combos is the nozzles: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/NzQwWDgyNw==/z/pH8AAOSwvt1WR5tb/$_35.JPG So why not cut all three nozzles off and magnetize those? It'd let you assemble the main part of the gun solidly that way, and relieve any issues you may have with the Sergeant holding the weapon two-handed. Small 1mm x 1mm magnets likes these should do the trick! Ovidius Incertus
Haven't tried them with the BaC combi-weapons, but on similar style, side-mounting FW combis, a 1/16" diameter magnet has worked just fine. Chesco
@Major: I had not considered that approach. I will give it a try, Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323384-putting-magnets-in-the-bc-combi-weapons/#findComment-4426484 Share on other sites

WarriorFish
I'd say 1x1mm is perhaps too small, but a thin magnet should fit neatly? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323384-putting-magnets-in-the-bc-combi-weapons/#findComment-4427036 Share on other sites
Major_Gilbear
Well, you could 1.5 x 1.5 (size of the Bolter muzzle drillbit) if you felt it necessary, but it's not really holding any weight and smaller is easier (and tidier) to fit. Major_Gilbear
In fact, I'd go for a ferrous metal pin in the nozzle, and a magnet in the gun casing. This lets you "slot" the muzzle into the gun casing, and the magnet stops it from sliding out again unless you pull it gently. :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323384-putting-magnets-in-the-bc-combi-weapons/#findComment-4427149 Share on other sites
