Icechiang
Hello everyone! I am a long time lurker and especially love reading and going through Horus Heresy stuff and wanted to ask you fine hobby folk a question. I have played 40k for a few years and have a space wolf army and an imperial guard/ Astra millitarum army. Recently I got the betrayal box and want to start a heresy army. I think it will be more for painting and modeling for the moment because no one in my immediate area plays 30k. I am having trouble picking between the Imperial Fists and the Death Guard. I like both of their legion rules and fluff though I will want to be more of a loyalist or pre heresy force. Both paint schemes are very different from what I have painted before so it will be interesting either way. Yellow is a little scary but I am willing to try. I like the idea of heavy weapons and implacable guns and terminators. I really would like to make breachers work too. I was leaning towards Imperial Fists because I could proxy them for a 40k space marine army of need be. I currently have the betrayal box, the centurion model from when forgeworld revamped their website, the special boarding captain with the eagle half shield, and the Polux model. So I thought I would ask the awesome members of this forum for their opinion. Thanks! Dantay VI
It sounds like you have set your self on a path to do Imperial Fists. I would suggest that you take 2 of your 40K models, prime and paint them. 1 as a Death Guard and the other as an Imperial Fist. The model which gives you most pleasure to paint should be your legion of choice :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323446-help-choosing-between-imperial-fists-or-death-guard/#findComment-4427944 Share on other sites
