A lot to digest but I am exceedingly excited to learn more about this 'Vaults of Terra' book. Maybe a new series? Something low-level and Inquisamunda-esque?

Reaally Gav? Nevermore. Poor lenore....

In fairness to gav, he didn't write that those were Corax's final words before he jumped ship. We can blame GW for that gem.

He jumps ship after the heresy not during. Didn't need a novel named for it, the IA provided all the cool. I complain but I'll still buy it coz I can't have the series unfinished :p

Reaally Gav? Nevermore. Poor lenore....

It's just called Corax. Nevermore is just the tag line thingy. It's a collection of the novellas I think.

Oh and although it's not final, the art on the Magnus book is awesome.

I found the synopsis for most of these books, not the one by Chris Wraight though.

Calgar's Siege by Paul Kearney- February

Marneus Augustus Calgar, Chapter Master of the Ultramarines, must survive the siege of Zalathras if he is to defeat the greenskin hordes of Warlord Brug.

Marneus Augustus Calgar is the Lord of Ultramar, one of the greatest realms of the Imperium. As Chapter Master of the Ultramarines, he leads one of the most prestigious and powerful Space Marine Chapters devoted to the defence of Mankind. In him, the blood of the Primarch Guilliman runs still. When Calgar receives a summons to the world of Zalidar he is unaware, as are the world's inhabitants, that it is under attack by the Ork Warlord Brug. When his vessel is shot down, Calgar and his Honour Guard must trek across Zalidar's jungle through ork-held territory to reach the city of Zalathras. A terrible siege ensues against a vast greenskin horde. Only Calgar can hope to prevail against such odds in a brutal conflict that gives rise to a legend that will last for eternity...

Space Wolves (Legends of the Dark Millennium)- February

When Great Wolf Logan Grimnar vanishes, the Space Wolves embark on a mission to retrieve him – a mission that might see the end of the Chapter.

Hailing from the hostile ice world of Fenris, the Space Wolves are as fierce and proud as their name suggests. Considered by some to be wild and undisciplined, the Sons of Russ are loyal to a fault, and their instincts for war are never in doubt. Woe betide those they mark as their prey, for they too shall feel the fangs of the wolf around their throats... A Great Hunt is over and the Space Wolves gather in the Fang to celebrate their victories and tell tall tales of their exploits. But one company has failed to return: that of the Great Wolf, Logan Grimnar. News of his death sends the Chapter on the hunt for the truth, with Ulrik the Slayer at their head. As they fight their way across the galaxy in search of their lord, the Space Wolves uncover a threat to the future of the Chapter itself.

Shrike (Space Marine Legends) by George Mann- March

Across many campaigns, Kayvaan Shrike of the Raven Guard pursues his nemesis, the ork warlord Gorkrusha.

Vaunted warrior of the Raven Guard, Shrike has ascended the ranks of this most mysterious and deadly brotherhood all the way to Chapter Master. He is a legend amongst his battle-brothers, one that began humbly enough in the wilds of Kiavahr. Shrike has fought and bested many foes, but one in particular, the Ork Warlord Gorkrusha, dogged him throughout many campaigns. From veteran to Shadow Captain, Shrike clashed with his old nemesis time and again, determined to bring about a final reckoning and bloody vengeance to the greenskin.

Dante (Blood Angels) by Gyy Haley-March

The untold origin story of Chapter Master Dante of the Blood Angels, one of the Imperium's greatest heroes.

Dante is Chapter Master of one of the noblest but most troubled Chapters of Space Marines in the Imperium: the Blood Angels. From the time of his birth in the rad-scarred wastes of Baal Secundus, he was destined for glory and strife. From his apotheosis to Scout, to the hive cities of Armageddon and the alien menace of the Cryptas system, Dante has waged war against all the enemies of the Imperium. He has witnessed the divine, and struggled against the darkness within all sons of Sanguinius. Longer lived than any other Chapter Master, this is his chronicle, his great and storied legend.

Corax (The Horus Heresy) by Gav Thorpe, paperback in April 2017, hardback in October 2016.

As the Horus Heresy gathers pace, the Raven Guard primarch Corax and the remnants of his once mighty Legion now wage an entirely different kind of war – liberating worlds oppressed by the traitor forces.

After Isstvan, after Deliverance, the Raven Guard still endure. Their primarch Corvus Corax has rallied countless warriors to his banner, striking back at the forces of the Warmaster on every front – from the degenerate hereteks of the Mechanicum to the cruel legionaries of the Sons of Horus, none shall escape his wrath. But although Corax has managed to stall the physical corruption of his own Space Marines, what of their spirit? And what sinister end must await those who dwell forever in the darkness? This anthology contains all of Gav Thorpe’s tales of the Raven Guard in the Horus Heresy – the novellas Soulforge and Ravenlord, along with the short stories ‘The Shadowmasters’, ‘The Value of Fear’ and ‘Raptor’. Also included is the brand new novella Weregeld, bringing Corax’s legend to its grim conclusion.

Warlord: Fury of the God-Machine , Adeptus Titancus Book 1- David Annandale- April 2017 hardcover

The mighty Warlord Titans of the Adeptus Titanicus go to war against the forces of Chaos.

The Battle Titans of the Adeptus Titanicus are towering war engines, striding to war as holy effigies of the Omnissiah, and the mighty Warlord Titans are the most renowned among all the forces of the Imperium of Man. Their weapons bring righteous death to the alien and the heretic alike, and the merest glimpse of them on the march has stalled entire planetary rebellions. But as the galaxy burns before the rampaging hordes of Chaos, it will take more than any one single Titan Legion to hold the line...

And finally Magnus the Red: Master of Prospero (The Horus Heresy: Primarchs)

The third novel in The Horus Heresy: Primarchs series, a brand new sequence of novels focused on the superhuman sons of the Emperor.

Lord of the mystical and uncanny, Magnus the Red has long studied the ancient crafts of sorcery. A psyker without peer, save only for the Emperor himself, he commands his loyal followers of the Thousand Sons Legion in the Great Crusade, always vigilant for any lost knowledge they might recover from the remains of dead human civilisations. Now, fighting alongside his brother Perturabo of the Iron Warriors, Magnus begins to foresee an approaching nexus of fate. Will he remain true to their mutual aims, or divert his own efforts towards furthering his own mastery of the warp?

You're welcome ;)

Nice one Taliesin. Looks like the Warlord book is the first of a trilogy, interesting. Gonna be hard to beat Abnett's Titanicus. Also good to see Paul Kearney's getting another crack at 40k after the Dark Hunters fiasco.

Looks like this one is a reprint of this limited edition collection of quick reads: http://www.blacklibrary.com/warhammer-40000/40k-novs/lotdm-space-wolves-ebook.html

But..."Azrael" is being given the Gav Thorpe treatment...and there was much tearing of hair and gnashing of teeth!

CZ Dunn or ADB would have been much preferable...or Mike Lee, even, since I actually really liked "Fallen Angels"...

Is Fallen Angels the one with the 6 year old DA recruits?

Naw, it was Descent of Angels that had the 9 year old recruits.

Which I just pretended were funky Caliban years anyway. 9 year olds in power-armour fighting monsters on a death world is hilarious though.
