Thanks for checking it out! I need some help making a decision. I just read unremembered empire and realized that I am a true son of ultramar at heart. Really considering starting an ultramarine force. So, continue with Iron Warriors or start the boys in blue?

Awesome work there! The weathering is top notch. I've said it before, there are so many 'bad' iron warrior paint jobs out there, it is so nice to see a good one. IW, DG and WE lend themselves to extreme weathering, certainly much more so that Ultra's. I guess it depends on if you like painting highly weathered stuff; of course that isn't to say you can't have some hard weathered Ultras....

 

Why not do a loyalist detachment of Iron Warriors, they can be Dantioch's Company, after all they do end up as Silver Skulls.....

Yeah I will probably keep it and do Iron Warriors up as traitors after I am happy with my ultra army.

 

Anyhow, here is a test mini for my ultra scheme. Mainly was looking to get the blue right and the gold on his left (your right) shoulder pad.
