Not trying to convince you or anything, but with the Sons of Horus you could easily field all their legion specific units as an allied detachment:

- HQ: Maloghurst with command squad since SoH get their own one

- Troops: Reavers

- Elites: Justaerin

I shall not listen to heretical whispers, I shall not listen to heretical whispers...

Seriously though they are in a future project list (together with Sallies and EC), but right now my IF army is just starting and if I get involved in yet more things I would end up with yet another unfinished army blink.png

Thanks mate, I'll try make new pics soon. Here's some more detail on Aximand since ppl like him:

I should get to paint him and Torgaddon soon, current work line is finishing off a Jetbike squad, and then it's either them or the tacticals for my EC to make them a 1250 army.

The green looks even more impressive close-up! Love the Eye of Horus on the one guys helm too. The black on the helms makes more sense looking at it like this, from the other pics they kinda looked a bit like they were wearing shades! I'm still not entirely sold on making the forehead pieces black, but I'm not the biggest fan of the SoH helmets in general (as much as I love the SoH theme and the rest of their special bits)so may not be the best judge! x)

And just to show how the models of Tarik and Aximand interact, I´ll be building them in a diorama to mirror the fight between Abaddon and Loken. In this version Aximand still had no hand but can´t take any new photos of the finished model since he´s disassembled and primed ready to be painted!

'I’ve seen it, Tarik, the warp. You can’t stand against that.’

'You know I can´t back down. No more than you can.'
'Then this is it?'
'Yes, it is. As you said, none of us would have chosen this.'
Aximand readied himself. 'Just like the practice cages, Tarik.'
'No,' said Torgaddon, 'nothing like that.'

This scene occurs while Loken and Abaddon keep fighting their duel and I think encompasses perfectly the sadness of the end of the Mournival whilst Loken and Abaddon represent the anger at the betrayal.

You should have a macro function on your iPhone 5s. It might be worth checking around on Google as well to see if there's any advice on how to get the best bang for your buck when it comes to using it.

That aside, I'm completely in love with Horus Aximand; he's just how I envisioned him to be. It's such a shame he's slated to die. :c

I hope they keep writing him in the fluff and make him die in Lupercalia at the hand of the EC while mourning his dead father and trying to build the legion to what it once was whilst knowing it is an absolutely impossible task since they´re too far gone and too few left. Or die willingly at the hands of Loken to pay for the crime against Tarik. Or rebel at the last moment in some meaningless and inconsequential gesture against the Warmaster and be executed.

Melancholy is such a sublime humor to explore.

Which sword are you going to be using for Torgaddon? The one in the first pic or the one vs Aximand. I have to say that I really like the second one.

I think you're right. Finally got around to retouch him until I was 100% happy, which included the original sword and a reposing of the left arm so it fits better in the diorama, pointing an accussation to Aximand when they take a break from the fight to speak.

Lovely composition with Little Horus and Tarik. Are you going to use the stock Loken and Abaddon? I've always thought there was something off with Loken's mini and would love to see what you came up with.

Heh I actually really like their original miniatures and I think their dynamism and anger will contrast great with the pause and melancholy of the fight between Torgaddon and Aximand.

'Little Horus, when did you realise how far you had gone? Was it when the Warmaster told you we were going to be bombed, or some time before?'
