lionofjudah
Does it happen on the grav weapon?? Is there some kind of exhaust as with las or plas weapons that would call for discoloration of the barre end? http://i1094.photobucket.com/albums/i444/Default75/Mobile%20Uploads/image_zpsexs68vsx.jpeg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323742-grav-weapons-and-energy-staining/ Share on other sites
Grand Master Laertes
I don't think so: discoloration is caused by extreme heat and, as far as I know, gravitational waves have nothing to do with heat. I am not a physicist, however, so I might be wrong. And this is a fantastic world, so maybe the weapon generates an extreme heat to collect the energy needed to alter the local gravity. As is usually said: your miniatures, your world, your rules. I, for example, prefer the discoloration effect that you usually see on miniatures, centered around the tip of the weapon, which is totally irrealistic, while JeffTibbets from this forum prefer a real-world approach, with the discolouration centered around the innermost part of the weapon. If you think that some kind of discolouration would look good on the barrel, go for it! Brother Aiwass
Maybe the grav-waves does not heat, but the coils that generate the waves? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323742-grav-weapons-and-energy-staining/#findComment-4455219 Share on other sites
