lionofjudah
So I'm working on my bombard and wondering what the consensus is on energy discoloration- I paint heat staining on stacks and barrel tips and am a little baffled as to what might be commonplace on the grav technology Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323743-painting-grav-weapons/ Share on other sites

Soldier of Dorn
Well, I was going to check the FW site for how their version is painted, but it appears their site is down right now, along with the main GW site. Guiltysparc
Pick a brightish color that complements your army's main color. I did red on my world eaters leviathan. A shiney metal barrel with red dots on the in-between part and red little cylinders on the tip. STC Logisengine
Well, truth be told, grav-weaponry don't get stained barrels, that Rainbow-effekt is heatblooms from uneven heatdistribution as the area closest to the muzzle of a gun will absorb more heat from the shell's propellant than the area a litte further down etc. Do weather the metal instead, grav-weaponry is usually ancient with many individual weapons in use predating the great crusade, mak the look old and worn Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323743-painting-grav-weapons/#findComment-4437232 Share on other sites

Charlo
In the official 40k artwork Grav is Green. I suppose as the Graviton Imploder is essentially just a 40k Grav Gun argument could be made for it being the same 10k years ago!
