Three Consul Deathstar?

disease

Recommended Posts

So I've heard recently of a three consul deathstar, and quite frankly, I don't know what it consists of?

I would assume its for use only in very competitive, cheesy lists, and that all the characters would be on bikes, but that's all I got.

seems like it would be way to expensive, possibly fragile and not enough attacks, or am I completely missing something?

Propably on jetbikes? 2+ and t5,5+ FNP through primus, rerolls or -1 characteristic through the powers of the libby and -1 toughness on the enemy through forgemasters rad grenades. Get wounded on 6 most times, 2+ and 5+ fnp, wounding on 3s through rad grenades and power weapons of any kind on top, for exeample with phoenix spears on 2+ and ap2 on ini in first round of combat. There won't be much left beside the hardest death stars to respond. Should come at 450 or such things but will propably eat anything. Don't forget, with -1 S through the libbys even powerfists won't be insta death and they still have to pass a 5++ and fnp as they are only s6 enemies.. back it up with a power weapon/phoenix spears command squad and one centurion with the void shield generator and boom. Isn't there a spell with -1 T in biomancy as well? Then -2 T would mean insta death to all marines. You could kill anything with power swords or axes and would not need power spears.

Like most "Death Stars" though, they aren't strictly competative as they have a lot of things that hard counter them. Two, it gives your opponent a really easy time at target selection and makes focus fire choices much easier.

If that bike squad doesn't do all the work, it's a huge chunk of ineffective points out of your army.

If it's a RoW-less army, the setup typically goes: Primus Medicae (for FnP), a Chaplain (for hatred and fearless) and a Forgelord (for rad grenades and 3++ tank). Most of the time, these bros go on jetbikes to maximize the FnP application, mobility and time spent outside of combat.

A Typhon will remove that Deathstar in one shot and costs less...

Exactly what I mean. "Deathstars" make for super easy target priority

Or like a certain someone loves, a Blood Angels moritat with flamers biggrin.png

Let's not get that bishonen dumpster fire started again.
