Emperor's Furor
I've seen people suggest that once you apply mountain mourn snow you then dry brush it, but I can't recall what paint they suggested or even in the end whether it's worth it or not, any suggestions? Xin Ceithan
I have a weathering set from Tamyia lying around somewhere which included "snow". It's more pigment than color. Haven't used it yet, though. Their metal / rust set works fine. The baking soda technique is quicker, so I am using that myself. Emperor's Furor
A friend just suggested I use lahmian medium with drakenhof darkshade to apply a wash and then dry brush it with Praxeti White. Brother-Chaplain Kage
That sounds like it would come out terrible. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323890-is-there-a-way-to-dry-brush-snow/#findComment-4441129 Share on other sites
Major_Gilbear
Uh, this may seem like a daft question, but why would you want to drybrush snow? Emperor's Furor
This is how it turned out. I wanted a bit of depth to the snow so it didn't look like I just plopped a load of mountain mourn snow on it, just looked a little simple and bland. http://i.imgur.com/wDnE68u.png Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323890-is-there-a-way-to-dry-brush-snow/#findComment-4444669 Share on other sites
Andromonoid
I would suggest you add some strong saturated color somewhere on the mini, to make it pop, since the colors you got are quite desaturated. A strong yellow or orange for the eyes would work well I think.
