Rules Changes in LACAL

Considering Typhons/Falchions/Glaives rely on weapons that don't have a conventional To Hit roll, Venators are simply the bane of their existence. 2 S10 Ordnance shots is a pretty decent chance of a pen and it only takes one pen to leave them snap shooting.

Typhon is an issue but with only 6 Hullpoints and no flare shields I'm not too concerned.

How often do we encounter Fellblade variants or Titans? I'll concede the Sicaran Venator has a place in big games. Is that what people are playing?

Most HH games I've played in are at the 2-2.5k mark.

^I've been getting an entertaining amount of mileage out of a command squad with Charnabal sabers to pal around with Khârn and an apothecary recently.

Chain sabers rock !

The only issue I'm having now is that chainaxes give that super sexy +1str. So it's a legit hard choice now to choose between rending or str5.

I'd do it like this - sabers for leaders and chain axes for the grunts... Synergy. \m/

Well, unless someone can kill the Stormlord after it outflanks with Interceptor fire, those 40 dudes are gonna essentially warp across the table and disembark, with 15 S6 shots behind 'em to bust open Rhinos or whittle away volkite-wielding support troops or whatever. Best to get the hell out of the Stormlord ASAP to avoid the catastrophe of it exploding with the troops inside.

That's my theoryhammering, anyway. As you pointed out elsewhere, they can just be outflanked without the Stormlord for nearly the same effect. Now I'm considering a couple of Leviathans, but I can't decide if I want grav bombards for 'em or not.

Everything in HH is awesome, it's hard to choose! Saving my money up, biding my time...

I've noticed that the Machinator Array is listed in the wargear summary as available to techmarines, but neither techmarines nor forge lords can take it. Am I missing something?

Say what now? You mind giving a page reference because that'd be pretty awesome if they could nab one.

HELLO T6 FORGE LORD IN A STONE GAUNTLET LIST MAYBE?

Under CCW page 130, but in the units entry it doesn't appear sad.png

Reading it, its just the standard Machinator Array bit.

It doesn't say anything about it being an Option for anyone in its blurb just that its kinda in the same vein as a Servo-Arm used by Techmarines and Mechanicum Magi. Thats it.

I don't know why its in the book if no unit can take it but its not an issue like, say, Dreadclaws having Inertial Guidance on their page but not in the Special Rule Section of their profile.

Flint never met the likes of Clem Fandango and his rolling battle bunker

Yeah I have.

I've also heard how many times Tim gives Spencer :cuss for having 4/5s of his army explode b/c his Stormlord got blowed up, killed everything inside, then took out stuff around it too.

I'm all about those Stormswords. Big big difference.

Out of curiosity - where are the latest rules for the Stormsword.

That thing is like a Typhon on crazy pills and I want it.

Crusade Imperialis Army List, pag 55 is the most recent I believe.

^Probs in the Crusade Imperialis list that just came out.

AH! Fair enough, I thought that one would be for the SA and we had to use an IA one or something. Noice.

Slightly saucy joke...

Syntax implies you're the Typhon in that equation, in which case, damn son, your last GF was ruthless!  I guess that's why you broke up? :D

As they are the most up to date rules on the Stormsword I would encourage those playing with one to use the the entry from Crusader Imperialis minus the Explorator Adaptation special rule (if they are not playing Solar Auxilia obviously).
