Rules Changes in LACAL

Falchion points increase and no changes to the cerberus are both bizarre and rather unwelcome. Can't always win though.

Couldn't Rhino's always take pintle weapons?

Also - Rhino's with an assault cannon for BA! Wheeeee.

Not multi meltas or heavy flamers smile.png

So, just to make sure I've got this right, Sicarans can take pintle weapons inc heavy flamers, so BA can swap that out for an assault cannon leaving a tank with the Accelerator Cannon, 3 Heavy Bolters and an Assault Cannon? Jesus censored.gif Christ

Go hog wild

Some pretty great stuff (I'm also disappointed by the Breachers and Destroyers: they are some of the coolest FW elements after all...)

I'm confused though: didn't they keep saying that they were pleased with how much units cost, and would rather change special rules around then change the points?

I think they probably realized that there was nothing they could do rules wise to make ASM worth the cost, so just doubled down.

I'm willing to say that Destroyers are probably almost worth their cost still - Two shooting attacks each, Rad nades, access to good weapons. It's still just the JP that let them down, but in the right list (BA Day of Revelation) the 75pts to Deep Strike Turn one with a 5+ cover and pinning on the weapons is pretty great, especially with a Moritat.

Great changes up one first glance all round

Not only that, but my current 3000pt list with Spartans, tac marines, kharybdis, anvilus and dread pod all in all works out just 10pts more...

And, I get str5 chain axes and my anvilus has guidance....

I'll take that!

Any idea why the Dreadnought Drop Pod's point increase is justified? Not going to be happy when that filters down to the Imperial Armour books.,..

To Hazard a guess, it's pretty powerful already with it's 5+ Cover that can go to other units and the Leviathan is quite bonkers as is...

Tis a shame for Orbital Assault though.

Personally, they overdid it with the drop pod price increase. The leviathan is good, but was teetering on the 'almost too expensive' part of that spectrum. An extra 30 points makes it cost almost as much as knight, which you can now take as a LOW. Get ready to see less leviathans and more of those. Otherwise the dreadclaw is better and you can put all your other dreadnoughts inside of it.

Kinetic Piercing Missile?

Kinetic Grenade?

These are new weapons. I don't know where they came from.

Blood Angels Jetbike Assault Cannon squad possible? Or do they not have the option for Heavy Flamers?

No assault cannon jet bikes, the only options for the sky slayer squad is MM base, Plasma Cannon, Vulkite Culverin, where as the sky hunters start with a Heavy Bolter, and can upgrade 1/3 to MMs, Plasma Cannons, or Vulkite Culverins

Can you confirm if the Hyperios missile launcher is now Heavy 2?

Thanks in advance :)

Nope, Heavy 1.

I mean, it wasn't cheaper than it's Imperial Armour counterpart to begin with?

So the Primus Redoubt PDF was a typo afterall sad.png

The ebook seems to be missing the rule for the double barrelled turbo-laser as well. Hopefully the physical book doesn't have this many omissions or mistakes, but jeez. There is a lot of them.

Am I missing something? Why does a full squadron of vindicators make them amazing?

If you buy the squadron command tank upgrade, your Vindictators get Monster and Tank Hunter, and ignore shakes on a 4+. The former is what I presume makes it so good, especially for the laser destroyer array tanks.
