Kein
hello all! it so happens that I have a lot of regular sm biker and scout biker legs. need advice, how to repose them, to make foot marines & scouts. possibly, without much of green stuff (I not very well appeal with it) couldn't find it here, or in google thanks for advice! Major_Gilbear
Cut apart the feet, knees, and hips (you will probably need a jewellery saw for the feet, and you may need to remove the ribbed knee/hip joints with a sharp knife too), and pin them back together with thin brass rod. When dry, you can re-pose them as you wish, and then fill in and re-sculpt the gaps with greenstuff/millput/putty of your choice. It's a bit like any "true-scale", "art-scale" or big re-pose conversion really... I'm not sure what else you're looking for technique-wise that wouldn't be covered by those types of tutorials. Grotsmasha
I'm going to be honest, they turned out WAY better than I was expecting, my advice was going to be bitz source some legs from eBay/whereever, but, uhhhmm, carry on ...... :tu: Cheers, Jono Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323942-sm-bikers-legs-reposing/#findComment-4973718 Share on other sites
thebluemarine
this is cool, have been thinking about doing this myself, its satisfying to use up something that would otherwise just lie in the bits box forever and get a unique pose to boot. Pippolele
I was thinking of using them to represent wounded marines: Keep the legs as they are, assemble a sitting marine, add something on the base he is leaning his back against (wall section/pole/trunk..), model/paint a suitable injury, assemble arms as fits the pose. I'll add a picture once I do it Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323942-sm-bikers-legs-reposing/#findComment-5235146 Share on other sites
Quixus
Sorry for the off-topic response, but why do you have biker legs left over? Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/323942-sm-bikers-legs-reposing/#findComment-5236852 Share on other sites
Pippolele
Because the ravenwing battleforce of old came with regular bike sprues and an upgrade sprue containing robed legs for the bikes.
