For purging I recommend Blood Raven technojunk.

Only the zealous can withstand its sick beatz.

Well if were going to go there...

the ironic thing, is that this sounds so good from a decent set of speakers with a mandatory subwoofer. Half tempted to put a battery in my old car just to listen to it (old car still has two 12" subwoofers firing from the boot into the cabin...)

So I'm not overly keen on the idea that all 40kk (30k) tunes should be metal orientated (I guess it's what most of us listen to and the heavy influence of bolt thrower), so I will provide a few alternate choices for you cultists (bass from a subwoofer very much recommended):

This is what it sounded like the first time I opened my astropathic eye and peered into the immaterium (starts about 1min):

Konflict - Messiah

there were times i nearly succumbed to the madness of the warp:

Goldie - Mother

but then i came to learn the primordial truth and how I could serve a higher power:

Ed Rush & Optical - The Host

I don't even know where to put this in... Black Ships perhaps?

DJ Hazard - Death Sport

But this for me is the sound of the sons of Horus biggrin.png

A Perfect Circle - Counting Bodies Like Sheep

Also, Nine Inch Nails 'Closer' is just a tad Slaaneshi... smile.png

The Stalwart.

The Fallen.

The Dutiful.

I agree wholeheartedly! While the metal tunes serve their purpose I often find myself leaning more towards psy-trance/darkpsy when I consider soundtracks for my factions of choice. More specifically I lean that way when considering what the tunes of war might be for my 30k Mechanicum battlegroup. I often end up with something similar to this:

I'm honestly surprised something like Flight of the Valkyries or 1812 Overture hasn't popped up.

1812 would be perfect for the Iron Warriors.

I'd just like to thank The Psycho for introducing me to Song of the Lonely Mountain with his post and by extension to The Last Goodbye as I browsed youtube from the video he linked; they're very beautiful and they managed to accomplish something I thought impossible: make me look favorably upon the Hobbit trilogy.

More on topic, I found this song to remind me of World Eaters, or maybe of Angron's gladiators:

I just tend to feel that metal fits the setting best (and it's one of the few genres I enjoy listening to). The sound of bolter fire just doesn't mesh with calm music. Anyway, just look at 40k. It's like the whole setting was dipped in (cheesy) 80s metal. Some of that has been hidden over time, but you can still feel the metal core of this game (just like the metal of my Sisters army).

One of the Templars needs to drop in here and put in "Amen and Attack"

Anyway, not my army, but I think this screams Lucius the Eternal.

Like I've said, Lemmy gets a pass on my normal test of "Is he actually singing, or just yelling." He sings most of the time.

This is cool!

Wow, can't believe I'm just seeing this. If I had to say, it would be this for my Loyalist Death Guard: only barely surviving the Istvaan bombardment, they join up with their former hated rivals the Salamanders 4th company for one purpose alone: REVENGE!
