Had 2 battles of 400 to 500 pt battles today.

 

The first was against a bunch of Ork Cans.

The 2nd was against a some Tyranids.

 

Lost Both.

 

Hate how they removed the Force Organization Chart Requirements Of 2 Troop And HQ and replaced it with whatever the current garbage is.

 

Attempting to try to join the new rules and such.

 

3rd And 4th Edition Were SO SO SO SO SO SO SO Much Better. They should have left the rules alone after that.

 

40K Is Still Awesome, But Not Half As Fun As It Was Back In 3rd And 4th Edition.

Any suggestions on refining an army list? What I had was a Librarian/W Jump Pack. 3 Tactical Squads With A Flamer, Missle Launcher, Veteran Sergeant With A Power Fist, And Melta Bombs.

 

They Had:

 

4 To 20 Orc Cans.

 

A Big Squad Of Tyranid Gaunts.

 

2 Leapers

 

1 Carnifex.

 

On That.

If your trying to be a dick to the Nid player, to being drop the jump pack from the Librarian and always combat squad your tactical squads, so you can focus the flamer on the haunts and the missile launchers on the big stuff. Give your librarian psychic powers to either help weaken the carnifex or buff your other shooting. Keep the Power first with the flamer squad and you might smack something on the charge.

 

Against the Orx, presumably killa kans, drop flamers because they don't do damage and get some meltaguns, that can rip through them the moment they get in range with the assistance of MLs at a distance. then you can use your librarian to either tank hunt or buff shooting

After checking a book about Dark Angels, that might sort of almost make them glad that they don't have the Acid Spit. Because if they spit when they were talking or they were not careful they would melt the people and items around them. Like if they got too close to a guardsman and began yelling at them they might melt the guy from acid spit while yelling On That.

So I completed marking the tactical squads with an Arrow and Number. Not exactly high quality but so so. I also applied Templar Crosses to their Chapter Badge shoulder. Some were so so and some were decent.

 

I wonder if I should have put the number and squad badges on the boots like some do and put a Chapter Badge on each Pauldron like the other Templars  use.

 

They are Imperial Fist Descendent.

 

But they are Imperial Templar.

 

Yellow like the fists, but a golden yellow that is sort of darker. Then their badge is a Cross like Templars, but red On That.

That would be cool to talk more and refine the chapter. Most of the army is painted aside from additional details such as chapter badges and similar items.

Yes. But for some reason that wont let me past in BolterAndChainSword. But you can find some of them at @MYTHRYNN In Twitter. That's an older picture several weeks old. But shows most of them painted with no badges yet. Also the army painter pictures and such.

Also, give Chrome or Firefox a try. They're free, often considered better, and Mozilla (Firefox) have arguably better ethics than Microsoft.

I haven't put pictures yet but the Veteran Sergeants have the studded Heresy Pattern Style Armor for both shoulder pads with the 3 assault squads. Not sure how accurate that might be but it seemed cool when combined with the Corvus Helmets On That.

That could indeed be cool :) You can add something about that in your fluff saying that sergeants have that as a kind of mark of honour, or humility, or something like that. Remember to say the chapter symbol is still displayed on the armour somewhere - two possibilites for that would be on an escutcheon (the little shields) or on the knee pads

Nobody seemed to know why. Also they didn't allow pasting except once and then not again. Other browsers were not any better.
