Veterans VS Seekers

Yeah, really apples and oranges in my books. As has been noted, Seekers are a more back field unit to my mind, whereas Vets are meant to be right in the thick of things. Mixing them together could be quite effective - 2x5-8 Seekers hanging back, 2x10 Vets in outflanking Rhinos (Sniper Heavy Flamers all day lol!) is a pretty decent start, and now that assault marines aren't terrible, they could run interference between front and back lines to 'close the circle' as it were. Aiming for about 200 pts per unit, you'd have 6 scoring units with lots of different capabilities for 1200, setting you in good stead for lists around 2-3k once you throw in a few 'heavy hitter' units.

I hear ya, Terminus... I haven't had the pleasure of trying out the ASMs in the Heresy yet, as I've been engaged in a Zone Mortalis campaign as Salamanders for the last couple months - Heresy is sort of just kicking off in my Club.

As soon as this next tournament is done (over the weekend) I do indeed plan on bringing my World Eaters Army of Dark Compliance 'up to code'. I'm pretty stoked that my 16 Raptors will have a solid place in that force, as up till the rules update I was relatively sure they'd be sitting things out. Now they're efficient, fluffy, and smashy. Good times.

There are no Raptors in a World Eater army.

;)
