Don't forget that the Basic Army List was updated so you want to grab that book since a LOT of points costs have changed.

A few things:

  • The Crozius of a Chaplain is just a Power Weapon. It can be whatever you want it to be so preference would be a Power Axe if you aren't intending on getting anything else for him especially if he's going to be doing any sort of challenging.
  • If your Libby is purely there for buffs, staff is OK. If he's going to do any killing, again, Ap2 is better. I'd also give him an Invulnerable Save of some sort and Artificer Armour. Having a Biomancy Libby with a Jump Pack can also be pretty useful.
    • For Both, if you have the points, a Perdition Blade is the best option.
  • Your assault squad can only have 1 Power Weapon per 5 so you're 1 over at 15 men (this doesn't include the sergeant who you should give a Combat Shield to).
  • Also, you might be better served by a 2nd Assault Squad rather than the current Tac Blob.
  • In general: Artificer Armour on anything that can take it. Having a 2+ Save to tank is great when Ap3 Weapons start popping up.
  • Power Axes/Ap2 on anything thats liable to be in a challenge mostly due to the above point.
  • Go for 2 Heavy Flamers on the Tac Vets it means you're wounding on 3+ vs more targets.
  • At least get a Rhino for the Assault Cannon Squad because with 24" Range, they are going to be decently easy to avoid especially since they snapshoot if they move.
  • Preferably, your dread would be in a pod otherwise he's liable to getting shot in Side/Rear armour that isn't protected by his 5++.

You could go for:

@slips, the assault squad is a 20 man squad.

I used the new book when making the list as well :)

The librarian is there to roll divination on the heavy support squad.

Yeah, for some reason I didn't read it that way :p

Well, Divination is good but Biomancy and Fishing for Endurance is also a very powerful alternative.

Running Cortus on foot is actually probably better than dishing out for the drop pods. You can run them as a wall to present AV13/5++ or covered sides. Two pods set you back more than a third Cortus and you're forced to split the Talon.
