Any suggestions on a spray matte finish/sealer?

Do you airbrush at all? I've taken to spraying a coat of Future floor polish through the airbrush, which is super glossy but protects incredibly well. From there, I spray Lahmian Medium (thinned with a little airbrush thinner) with a tiny pinch of 'Ard Coat to get a nice satin finish. Without the 'Ard Coat it's too matte and looks dusty. It works for me, and spraying through an airbrush makes the paint stretch a lot farther.

Years ago I discovered a matt varnish in a local radio controlled model shop. They do the balsa airplanes and boats etc so the varnish has to be flame retardant. The matt finish is the best I've ever used (in 25+ years of painting). I'm at work at the moment and I can't remember it's name, I'll post it up tonight when I get home.

Found it;

Scroll down the list to the Matt Clear. As I said above, it's the best matt varnish I've ever used. Unfortunately, as with all spray cans, it can't be sent through the post so look for a local supplier. If you do use it make sure you take all the usual precautions (temperature, humidity etc). Give your models a good coat but remember it's an enamel paint so leave it at least 24 hours to go off and probably 36 to dry properly.
