Guilloom
Well... Hello! I did not really now where to put it until I noticed that WIP should go in the WIP sub-forum. So here we are. I've been painting mostly Imperial Guard since I sub the glorious B&C forum. I won't say that I am bored of boots and cannon fodder (the Commissariat wouldn't appreciate) but I wanted to try something different. And to prove to myself that I can paint other tones than brown. After gathering pieces, sticking them with glue, covering them with acrylics, this is what I obtain: And another lad waiting for priming and more. I imagined them as low-tech enforcers, from a distant and isolated sector. But no fluff written yet... So, next, the mace guy will be painted, more bitz will come together and I'll do better pictures... hopefully! Finally, I have to admit I stol...borrowed many concepts from people on this forum. So thanks to them for being so inspirational! http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/322490-beneath-terra-inquisimunda-the-xith-legion/ http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/317741-the-hanged-mans-tarot/ http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/295568-ms-inq2840k-inquisitorial-forces/ http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/299055-walking-chapel-bring-his-light-far-as-possible/ http://www.bolterandchainsword.com/topic/289365-inqusitor/ Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324668-some-weird-stuff/ Share on other sites
GoblinChow
Looks Cool! I can imagine them fitting right in on the table I am building. My battleground is kind of low tech, rural and isolated. I like the idea a lot. Will they just be local props, or will they jump into the fighting? Stats? I might even steal the idea from you and give it my own twist. (Like robed Monks with Gardening tools that I was originally going to make to join in as chaos cultists!) Nice work and a great idea! Guilloom
Thanks GoblinChow! Do not hesitate to steal ideas, or to post a pic of your terrain. Thus I may steal your idea myself for the bases. I'm currently experimenting wood and some odd mechanical pieces. Looks nice to me but some more inspiration is good Talking about inspiration, I've been in a painting frenzy at the end of the ETL (too bad it did not come earlier). So I have some models more or less painted, but no WIP pic for them... First let's have better pics for our first Enforcer. I definitely like him, maybe one of my favorite painted model so far. But I hope I'll get better at painting tiny pieces of plastic. Red and purple (quite homemade using cheap acrylics blue and red) are doing quite good together. I'm quite happy about that as it was... some random association at first. Second is the Enforcer n°2. Still fond of that purple and red association. But his face and breast armor are just two big fails. Fails so big I'll feel oblige to repaint them one day. So, third of all, two non-combatants characters. The first one is a Librarian (no, not the kind with psychic powers and power armor... just the guy who sells book), models done but I've lately added a Servo-Skull to give him a more futuristic look, as the head and body part are all from WFB. The second lil' nasty burglar is a Butcher (no, not the one with power armor, just the guy who chops and sells meat, ya know). A short-sized mutant, the kind of guy who shouldn't be selling meat. ANyway you shouldn't be buying it or you won't survive long. Finally, last but not least... the third and last Enforcer... This lad is not totally human, judging by his size. I'm gonna replace his current gun by the revolver our nasty little Butcher used to wield. Bigger man, bigger gun. He is my next objective in painting, along with the Librarian Servo-Skull and a bunch of MT Scions for my IG army. So stay tuned for more updates soon(er or later) and, as ever, comments and critics (especially about conversions, but paint would be greeted as well) are much welcome.
