vilainlivesmatter
Hey guys, I'm assembling my first chimera and i've encountered an issue. Everything is fine except the multi-laser "nozzle" which from the assembly manual seems to be hollow, is one solid piece. Any advice on fixing this, i'm thinking of just drilling it, but i wanted to ask you guys first. WarriorFish
Do you mean the slightly angled end of the gun? If so yes that should be hollow so you can slot it on (right side up of course!), so it sounds like you need to drill it out. To be on the safe side post a picture up if you can so we can double check Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324789-assembling-chimera/#findComment-4469166 Share on other sites
Indefragable
I have assembled 5x Chimeras and yes, the Multi-Laser "nozzle" is hollow. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324789-assembling-chimera/#findComment-4469521 Share on other sites
Ulrik_Ironfist
Hmm, maybe your kit got past QC, it happens. I've had kits missing bases but never anything on that level. I opened the other Chimera kit that i got and it has the same issue. Doubt its enough to call GW support over such an issue sorry for potato, quality. http://imgur.com/a/3bHka Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324789-assembling-chimera/#findComment-4469594 Share on other sites

It could be a user problem on my end but I've tried it twice. WarriorFish
Here's the image: http://i.imgur.com/UROFGZc.jpg As you can see it is covered, but I'd imagine it's a thin layer so should be easy to drill out :) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324789-assembling-chimera/#findComment-4469610 Share on other sites
Ulrik_Ironfist
Yeah that doesn't look too bad. At least you already know where to drill. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324789-assembling-chimera/#findComment-4469632 Share on other sites

duz_
Just looks like flashing. You could probably poke it out with a pen or hobby knife. Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324789-assembling-chimera/#findComment-4469687 Share on other sites

Shamansky
Maybe that would be easier to cut that pin from the gun and just glue the nozzle to the barrel Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324789-assembling-chimera/#findComment-4470304 Share on other sites
elmo
Shamanskys idea is the easier option if you have not got the correct sized drill bit or you are a bit nervous ;) Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/324789-assembling-chimera/#findComment-4470397 Share on other sites
