Horus Heresy Technology Timeline

Does anyone know a good technology timeline for the Crusade and Horus Heresy?

Like when do the different marks come out. Who would most likely happen to have what equipment when?

It seems like I see a new thread every day asking about what technology was available when.

It's kept vague by both FW and BL tbh.

Also, some Legions got some gear earlier than others. Some used it during trial phases, other made their own, etc.

The easiest answer would be - you can use both GW and FW tanks in 30k, concerning patterns.

Regarding when which tanks or dreadnoughts came into existence - the best is to read the little fluff blurbs on their rules entries, sometimes these state a vague timeline :)

For dreadnoughts, I believe the vague timeline is that:

Lucifer > Castraferrum / Furibundus (both have been mentioned as being in use pre-Crusade) > Contemptor > Deredeo > Leviathan > Contemptor-Cortus

Actually, the Contemptor Cortus was used during Ullanor, so he should be before the Deredeo I guess.

Also, regarding the Castraferrum, there are conflicting sources, some say he was there before the Contemptor, other say it came after (in order to have 1.) something easier to repair/re-use and 2.) for Space Hulks and Zone Mortalis).

Last but not least, the Furibundus is the oldest known dreadnought in 40k, and they only know its name, not how it looked or what it was used for, according to I think IA volume 13 - so it should be after the Lucifer but before the Castraferrum/Contemptor.

Also, each Legion's gear was dependent on their preference for warfare. Obviously each Legion had pretty much anything you can think of, but whether of not that gear was seeing extensive use or collecting dust in the corner of the Armoury is a completely different thing.
