Jimm
So I was thinking a few days ago about how poor some ic rules are (power wise) compared to how they are in the fluff. Prime example is old man kor phaeton. On the table he's pretty rubbish, doesn't really offer anything special at all. Fluff wise (and correct if I'm wrong fluffy Lords) but didn't he almost kill papa smurf with a crazy psychic barrage once he had turned to chaos. Now does this mean we are likely to see updated chaosed up ic rules at some point or did fw just not like some characters. Across the board it does seem a few of the arch traitors ic aren't that brilliant compared to a few of the loyalists so does this means there's room for them to grow a little or will they just be left in display cases? Terminus
We won't get any edits until at least the next Legion book reprinting, and even then they dropped the ball on a LOT of things so I wouldn't hold out hope. Jimm
Oh I'm not bothered from game point for view just think it would be interesting. Im really happy with my legion It more of an open ended thing, will they at some stage advance some of the characters Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325650-updated-versions-of-ic-at-a-later-date/#findComment-4496186 Share on other sites
Elzender
I recall reading somewhere some primarchs might get that treatment, at least regarding the miniatures, and I guess we could expect an Über-Horus and maybe some daemon primarchs rules. Regarding other characters, it could be nice and it shouldn't be too difficult to do, maybe they could just get some additional rules and wargear for a point increase/decrease as Lorgar and Corax have. Actually, one of my wishes for the Heresy would be a book with rules for most of the lesser-known captains and officers that appear during the conflicts or those that haven't got rules (Torgaddon, Falkus Kybre, Camba-Diaz, Lucius (though he'll probably get rules eventually) etc.), or even a small system to further personalise your characters to create your own or better represent some of the ones without rules. Memento Of Prospero
Kor Phaeron was temporarily empowered when he did that. Plot armour is a thing, and you have to consider characters in the whole of thier portrayal, not in their minute glory. So far, I think almost all the character ruls so far are flavourful and power on the tabletop is very subjective. RandomMarine
ICs are fairly fluffy rules wise and pretty balanced with maybe 2 exceptions but then again I play IH and we have arguably the best per point IC (Orth)and autek "smashface" mor the only one I'm not a fan of is shadrak mehduson.
