Sauragnmon
So a couple days ago I decided to break out some of my paints and have a little fun. The knight is part of a five-knight household with a Dragon theme. I was originally going to use Anarchy's Stencils, but the composite layers and curves made them impossible to work with. So I went and resorted to Freehanding some visuals. The flames were originally Ceramite White, given some highlights of a sort with an Iridescent Pearl. Then I added some shade with VMC Light Blue Grey, highlighted those with Runefang Steel, and laid a coat of Waystone Green over the whole pad to give it a unified colour and look. I have the Green dragon ready as well, but I think it's going to need some more work. It's got the Forgeworld Questoris shoulders, so I don't have the massive tracts of land to work with. I'm thinking of trying an iridescent corruption look, and adding some Nihilak Oxide to reinforce the corrupted image. Without further ado, here we go. http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e58/Sauragnmon/Warhammer%2040K/IMG_20160907_0036421_zpsevfxqrdy.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e58/Sauragnmon/Warhammer%2040K/IMG_20160907_0036191_zps3ono30ft.jpg http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e58/Sauragnmon/Warhammer%2040K/IMG_20160907_0035511_zpssya9emzn.jpg This is an older shot, preliminary.. the lighting is much lower, but the angle actually shows some of the Pearl/Metal effects. http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e58/Sauragnmon/Warhammer%2040K/IMG_20160906_1743491_zpsxdixfstg.jpg Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325705-playing-with-the-technical-paints/ Share on other sites
