Brother Syddraf
Hi all. After my slow performance in the ETL, i have decided to do this log in the foot steps of the great Dark Angel members here as motivation for me to build/paint all the models i have and the first step to this is doing a little display board, so i can do off better quality pictures and hopefully advance my skill. The idea of this board is as trial run for doing a complete gaming table. I used multiply sheets of cork floor tiles to build up a street, side walk and site of a ruin building. Along with plastic strips and tiles I dug out a couple of blast carters And glue some of the removed cork as rubble And last a couple of minis from my 9th squad as scale Once i'm done with this board i'll be moving through all my squads to remodel old minis and repaint the lot. Currently i have enough for the full 5th company with 2 ten man veterans squads. Hopefully i can put something new up every week, thanks all elmo, Chaplain Raeven, Malcifer and 6 others 9 Back to top Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325742-brother-syddrafs-5th-company/ Share on other sites

Raztalin
Maaaan - that board is top notch!!! The bases look massive too, but in a good way! Well done sir Link to comment https://bolterandchainsword.com/topic/325742-brother-syddrafs-5th-company/#findComment-4586777 Share on other sites
Brother Syddraf
The base height is according to the minis rank. Normal trooper are one layer of cork, veterans get two layers and Masters and up get three. I fell in love with cork tiles as basing material, so easy to cut/rip/glue/paint, and i found these Evergreen brand platic card in two tile sizes that work great on top. Have put down a base coat on one of my veteran squads and started to shade them, them will start doing squad by squad til im done. Brother Syddraf
Thanks guys The bases are a good 15mm pile of cork tile, good thing GW put space marines on a bigger base cause they wouldn't have fit. The green is Caliban green base with a glaze of Warpstone Glow and Lahmian Medium at 50:50 painted in a couple of layers and highlighted with moot green then a couple of coats of Biel-Tan Green.
